It says center locked but that just locks both ends to the same speed right

Never really took the time to understand full time 4wd vs part time other than full time is like AWD with low range? lol

Think of it like the 01-02 4Runner

4x4 really is all wheel drive; hit the center diff lock for 4x4.

It's super clean for the mileage, pretty rare color too.

Yeah blue isn't a color that seems to hold up well for Yotas, pretty much every blue 2nd gen I see has a peeled/brown hood and roof

I've done a mod or two
I haven't used it much, pulled a couple cars and spoiled the cable properly that's it. Seems solid, moreson than a smittybuilt at least. Only downside is you'll have to make your own contactor control box thingy cause the one it comes with is huge. I grabbed the hydro crimpers and made some new cables and stuck it in the engine bay.

93-97 are great, 95-97 I'd suggest for people who are reliant on OBDII to solve their issues but they're a little less beefy trans wise compared to 93-94.

The transfer case has a differential with a viscous coupler. This allows a 30/70 distribution of power for exceptional traction in lower traction conditions like snow and dirt. But when you want to really get technical you can lock it to make it be 50/50 no matter what like the tacos case does. You also have the option of low range in AWD (unlocked center/really more of a limited slip) or 4WD (locked center). To add to the confusion 91-92 80 series had a completly open center diff, no viscous coupler, another reason why you don't want anything less than a 93.

This was her old '91. Trying to find some more pics of it. We had it painted and I put new wheels and 4Runner seats in it.

This was after we had it painted. She wanted grey.

She got pulled over once after getting it. Cop told her she was missing her 3rd brake light. She told him this truck is a '91 and didn't come with one. He tried arguing that they all did. She won that argument...

Went deer hunting early one morning and boom. She blew up on impact and totaled the truck because it got into radiator mounts. Wish that happened after I got more into cars and stuff so I could buy it back and turn it into more of a dedicated off-road vehicle.

    That’s an oof.

the last one I hit messed up the core support pretty good. Had to yank on the hood latch a bit to get the hood to close. Bumper fell off.

I think it’s still tie wired on actually, headlights still zip tied.

dead at the side of the house

Yea that’s why I ended up with an arb on this truck pretty quick. With how much I drive mornings and nights through whitetail country I’m surprised it hasn’t happened again to be honest. Lights help but not much you can do when they jump out of the ditch.

a buddy in southern illinois with a 2019 hit one in September and right after he got it repaired he hit a second one. Ordered a c4 hybrid and shortly after he put it on he smoked a third one all in under a year.
