The bolt wasn't sitting there just snapped and loose, rattling around, but it certainly broke rather easily. Enough that I do suspect that it was over-torqued and the stress of the socket wrench for removal was all it needed to snap.

I'm talking with the other shop that helped me out with my actuator arm and that had discovered that it was too short and had been cobbled together.

Clutch is slipping only under hard acceleration at highway speeds. Haven't noticed it otherwise since I can't throttle more than 40% without creating repetitive backfires out the exhaust. It's like I have a souped up tuner where I can create a firework show on demand except my tuner isn't really "tuned"; in fact it hasn't been properly tuned since my original pump controller fried 2 brand new fuel pumps over two months ago. Still stuck on map#2 since mid February. Hopefully my engine doesn't blow like MESO's

You’re talking cold running? I can’t go into boost either until fully warmed up. I wouldn’t call mine a backfire though, I think it misfires, there’s a putter feel.

Mine did a version of this when I was overboosting. A subtle version though, the bucking was barely there and really only felt in my pedal, not the whole truck

it is caused from the pressure differential between each side of the throttle blade when the engine is cold,
vacuum boost vacuum boost vacuum boost vacuum boost. It is related to the throttle control w/ cold engine

MZiggy your issue was compounded because you had only 1 of the turbos overboosting. So one turbo was spinning slower and bleeding pressure.

One method I have found that I can implement that fixes it is modifying cold engine torque so that you simply can't get into boost until it's warmed up. You can floor it and only get about 20% throttle until the engine is warm.

Negative. I'm in Virginia just a couple hours north of you. Order #6583. I am happy to PM or email my address or any other info that you may need.

It's unfortunate that you can't pull in admin resources to help with the communication and emails since your time programming, tuning and designing is very valuable.

I've got it from your order number thanks.

Yes logistics has been a big problem recently. Admin/email/comm has been a struggle. There are some plans in motion once all of these pending things are sorted out. I can assure everyone everything is smoothing out and will get back to normal timelines soon.

something I don't talk about but has been a set back these last few months is that I was recently diagnosed with Menieres disease, presumably from my time in the military. It has caused an impact on my ability to work, as of right now.

Sorry if this comes across as harsh, maybe it’s tough love, but Mat, you gotta get some helpers. Even if it’s just the BS of resetting passwords and answering emails about how vF works and what people need to buy for their specific needs, writing product manuals, packing and shipping, etc... (edit @tonered might already do part of this on TW but you need someone full time).

I can’t speak for others but I know there are now many of us dependent on you to make Toyota’s suck significantly less. From the outside looking in it appears you are extremely talented but can’t play nice with others, which is often related to the talented part. Others can’t live up to your standards.

We are all pulling for you to succeed, but how can you manage this solo or with the limited crew you have, which from the outside looks like 1 (you)? Customer service is critical, if it weren’t for your monopoly on ability to access most recent Toyota ECU’s, people would be reaching for another product.

I mean this in the best possible way, please find someone to help manage the trivial stuff so you can focus on the differentiating technology you develop that ensures your future success. It appears to be the little stuff distracting you from the big fish. Again, outside looking in and guessing here. We want you and vF to succeed.

    Thanks,
Captain Obvious (waiting on a Zendesk for what I assume is a trivial task)

I completely agree with your statement. Ive come to a similar realization already.

To be clear I have hired a tech writer, and developer.
However my dev is in the hospital from liver disease caused secondary from Covid.

Believe me some things are in motion already.
First, some stuff is just getting cut out, product / development wise. May make some people unhappy. Don't care, they will troll no matter what.

Second, there will be a big change coming to how development is done. We will be working directly with one of our pro tuner shops. Can't get into too much details on that right now though.

Trolls are beneficial, just gotta reframe the way you think about em. It's direct feedback.

Best of luck. My mom has battled Menieres for decades. It’s a bad situation when the world is spinning around you and you can’t do anything.

Again, the vast majority of us are all fans of your work, we use it daily, weekly, etc... we’re hooked, now you have to feed us or we get hangry...

I'm not diagnosed officially with anything.

But after googling that disease i may ask my doctor about it. Is there a test for it? The last time i asked about it, i was told i needed to eat more salt.

Basically i get crazy dizzy spells, can be walking along then all the sudden I'm drunk as hell and can barely walk, ears ring constantly. Set me in my chair at work for 2 hours last Thursday.

Been happening since i was in high school.

If that's what you are dealing with, i know the feeling and it sucks when you are trying to work or drive

That's exactly what I was afraid of. I've moved since the order (communicated multiple times) I'll send another ZenDesk.

@OVTune I assume I will be getting a new FPC since I have been using your prototype new FPC since February? I mailed you the old FPC and ruined fuel pumps 5 weeks ago.

Any idea why I can't throttle more than 40% without getting hesitation with multiple backfires out the exhaust? If I push it hard the truck has gone into limp mode on two occasions so I have been driving the truck very cautiously.

I desperately need an updated tune since I'm concerned my current tune is going to cause permanent damage.

Not trying to be a dick but my emails with data logs have not been replied to or addressed in over a month. I acknowledge that there are many complexities to getting everyone's TT kit running smooth but some of us have been very patient waiting for these updates to materialize over the last 2 months.
