    Yeah, I am starting to think that may be the case here too. Hoping to get it on the truck before a fishing/camping trip the week of May 17 but I probably cut it too close.

    I don’t think that’s a bad thing; they came-up with a business model which works very well, much of the time. Companies which can duplicate that will do very well going-forward.

    Softopper is no longer owned by them . They got purchased by bestop . I had the same issue recently wasn’t able to get a hold of anyone just to even purchase a item . Guess the softopper just doubled in value if u have one .

    Softopper posted on their Facebook page a couple weeks ago that current wait times are 2-8 weeks due to supply chain / staffing issues.

    Amazon has shit customer service that they outsource to cheap labor in India that doesn't care about a problem with an order (not that I expect them to)
    charged me money for something that was labeled as free
    and to sell an item, simply mailed me an empty box. 3 times.
    not to mention the many times of getting a wrong, different item
    I am all for the worker there here in the US trying to make a living. I do not blame them at all.
    But as a whole, it's not a very good company.
    You've heard the things about their staff getting 10 minutes monitored to walk a mile across the building to take a piss.
    Seems like just some creative idea made to enrich a guy at the top

    sometimes, when working with a company that provides a service,
    it's considered classy to be flexible, giving them some time, being easy to work with, and knowing what matters in life vs what doesn't
    Health problem? Yes. Take seriously. Get to hospital fast.
    Optional fun time accessory car part coming a week late? Not a reason to cry and shit pants.

    Maybe not to you, but for me I work very hard for my money and when I order a product I expect/demand good communication. Tell me my 'Fun Time Accessory Car Part' won't be delivered for six months if you want but communication (for me) is key. That is one area where I can't fault Amazon; they say a product will be delivered by x date, in my experience it is. If there is a longer delay then I get an E-mail telling me so and giving me the option of canceling the order. I average three Amazon deliveries a week and for me, they got the system right. A few other places (and the Diner where I ate dinner at tonight) could stand to learn from them.
