Good Morning Folks :hattip:. Wind gusts yesterday that would dam near blow you over. Temperatures dropped and the heater kicked on. Had to wear my winter coat out this morning walking the Grand dogs. WHERE did Spring go :annoyed:. I must have missed it:rolleyes:.

Welcome to the porch @foush56 . Pull up a chair or rocker, but stay out of the recliner (got your 6 Mike), thats Mikes and he gets grumpy when someone else leaves their butt print in the cushion . Enjoy the posts and join in on any topic.

Great birthday Mark. Your present was really a great ending to top off your day. Lynn is a definitely a keeper.

    Got you covered Mike.

Read your Moron report in the 50 thread...there is no limit to the amount of stupidity in this world today:facepalm:. Dealing with the public especially!!

Sorry Ken. I do not like communicating by word. So mush better face to face. What I meant was she made a mistake, I hope she did not hit your truck on purpose. She was not attempting to move on before anyone noticed was she? If so that is pretty low life.

    Welcome to the thread!

Yesterday was blustery to put it mildly. It is 46 this morning but calm. Hope it warms up quickly, i have planned to replace the driveway floodlight with a Phillips Hue white and color floodlight. This will be my eighth Phillips Hue outdoor lamp. So glad I did not plant my vegetable garden last weekend.

Thanks Tom, she said she was pulling into the spot in front of me and due to the narrowness of the street, she had to move over because of a semi coming in the opposite direction. She misjudged her clearance. She was getting all her papers (license, insurance etc.) out when I approached her so I believe she was doing the right thing. She called her agent and the police so a report was filed. If I hear from her insurance Monday I will take the Tacoma in for an estimate at my shop not theirs. I have one Sun Sugar tomato plant in my office that I need to transplant and put out side but with this weather so up and down it might be June before I can do that. Have a great day

    Morning all:
Welcome foush56, like others are saying, fill up the cooler and pull up a chair on the porch and join in, good people on here with varied interests.

Had the same thing here yesterday Tom, looked like the tail end of a hurricane was passing through. A couple of big branches from a pine came down in the yard, need to clean them up today and patrol the rest of the yard and clean up other smaller branches AGAIN!

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gal! Looks like ONE more wet one before Mr. Sunshine returns to CenTex! We're at 2.67" since it started yesterday, and still dripping. Won't have to water the yard or outdoor plants! I have spied some tiny oranges in the new "orchard", and there are at least two Roma tomatoes getting going. When it's brighter, I'll collect some pix. Going to take pix of the aquaponics regardless for weekly progress, but it has only slightly changed. Experimental seeds haven't popped, but it's only been a week and not much sun.

Anniversary 36 today (May Day, May Day!), but we got married at the Palace in Honolulu, so it's Lei Day! Wife changed her mind about going out again, so the request is for custom burgers tonight. But for tomorrow, I also have some crab legs and tenderloins to grill. She did go out to lunch a couple weeks ago, so we've been "out" once this year!

Welcome to the porch @foush56 !

    Enjoy your day, folks!

    Good morning all,

Got the driveway graded (box-scraped), I was able to salvage a lot of the plow off gravel but still need new road-base to get it back up to speed.

Going to focus on felling trees and grading the septic areas then grass seed before the snow comes tomorrow evening and all day Monday - with the ground being thawed the seed will take hold.

Welcome foush56, lots of non-Taco discussions here and of course Taco - LOL

Have a great and safe day

Happy Birthdays, Anniversaries, and welcome new members! Gosh a'mighty what a bunch of activity.

That is a shame. Hope it all comes out as good as new.

We went out to dinner for the second time on Thursday night. The restaurant floor plan looked just like it did 2 years ago, every table that used to be there was still there. And they were full! I guess the restrictions in our state have been loosened. We're all double poked so I don't feel uncomfortable in those situations. Speaking of which, my son, his wife, and their two daughters just got their second poke in San Antonio TX. Once again they didn't even have to get out of the car. That's what I call a production line.

I got the snowblower serviced and put away, changed the oil in the generator, and got the grass cut. Now it's time to give the mower a going over, get it ready for summer service. The list never ends!

Kind of restores your faith in the actions of strangers.

    Happy Anniversary.

Installing the light was a PITA today. Whomever designed the cover mounting should be forced to install 100 of them. The 45 min job took an hour and a half. After the install adding the bulb to my Hue system, bulb software update, and programming the dusk to dawn routine only took 20 minutes. I am going to practice my guitar and do nothing else today.

80's here today. Too damn hot, too early. Got a trip to Cathedral Valley planned for tomorrow so I'll be coming home with a truck that is dusty. I'll try to get some good pictures.
Still procrastinating about mowing the lawn for the first time. The older I get the less I like grass.

Boy, I started a thread to sell my daily driver Tacoma and was immediately treated like a leper. You'da thunk I was trying to spread rabies. The truck has a branded title since it was bought as a total... and it was an easy repair. I bolted/welded in a straight piece of frame, slapped on a new bumper, and a tailgate from a wrecking yard, and the truck has been great for two years and fifteen thousand miles. But the national media sells people the idea that wrecks can't be fixed and branded titles are something to stay away from, I guess... and without any experience people believe what they are told. It's in the best interests of media advertisers. They get paid to sell new cars and insurance on new cars. In any case, it was kind of surprising.

Good morning everyone and Happy Anniversary, Kurt!!

Cut the grass around the house yesterday - helps to knock down the dandelions. It's growing quickly, too.

Today, I'm going to put a coat of stain on the front and back porch and put water seal on the trailer deck.

Be safe and enjoy the day!
