Livin the dream. What’s new with you Phil? Been scarce lately. How was the time off?

 

It was much needed. Now to just make it 3 more, then off 6, then back for 8.....then off for 21

 

Nice, I took 2 weeks off mid June one week “camping” at Acadia national park then a week off at home. I’ll take 2 more weeks in august when my folks come up and for my bday. Tryina get ahead with shit around the house but lack some motivation.

 

I swear I feel like I need to cut grass every other day now...……………..I hate it

 

i dethatched and overseeded and my back yard still looks like shit. I think I’m gonna have to bring in 10-20 yds of topsoil and start fresh.

 

I loathe yardwork I swear I'll never cut grass again if I ever hit the lotto

 

its therapeutic for me; I don’t mind cutting the grass it’s getting it to grow that’s the problem...

 

Was runnin routes with the 5yo yesterday and I just want the boys to have a nice lush green field in the back to play on.

 

I think the shit down here grows as soon as you cut it

that’s in what my wife calls the “back 40”... this is their play yard. Bout another acre or so to the right of the pic that they use for the jeeps and dirt bike.

 

Early morning fire call. Great how people are getting vaccinated as they feel a lot safer with us on their homes.

 

there were VERY few masks at the derby yesterday with around 50k in attendance... we’re fully vax’d but still wear the damn things.

yeah, wife’s cousin gave them a crf 50. I bought some diesel training wheels for it.

 

I'm really considering a CRF 300 Rally once I get on days. I think I'm just gonna chance it on the yearly insurance eval and grab one. It'd be perfect for the 5 mile trip/from work at 70+ MPG's

 

Yup. Hard to believe people are so selfish after what we’ve been through and how that attitude doesn’t square with them also having such a lack of a self preservation instinct. Some of these people are otherwise “normal”. I guess there are just a lot of meek and lazy people.

I'm just waiting on 7am. This is my first night back and I'm already sick of the ER

 

We are a volunteer FD, so can’t complain about my own doing. It’s 5:15 here so nothing open until 6:00.
