What do you stock guys do for replacement tires? Are y’all replacing the Goodyear rubbers with the same thing? Initially, when I bought the truck a year ago, I had planned to replace the tires with something slightly larger when it was time. (Still not even close to time). I LOVE the way this truck drives and I don’t wanna screw the ride up. What do you guys suggest? Something slightly more aggressive looking would be nice, but not at the cost of performance and the phenomenal/smooth ride.

    Stock tire size.
Have them on the truck and jeep.
Slightly stiffer sidewall than the at20.

I'm going with GY Wrangler Duratracs in slightly taller 265/75/16. They'll be mounted Tuesday along with bumper, winch, and lightbar. Pairing with upgraded shocks to Bilstein 5100s; shocks won't be in for another week or two.

I have the Firestone Destination Le II.

Good tires for the money. Better than the crap Toyota uses. I think they were the Yokohama.

Had bad luck with those on a Jeep in the past. Don’t fret though, I think it was the Jeep’s fault, not the tires. I could never get them to wear properly. They look damn aggressive for an AT, which is nice. Best of luck with those. Probably an entire different experience with those on a Taco.

I've had three friends I trust implicitly, who've run them on Tacomas (2) and one Jeep for several years, recommend them solely. I feel confident in my decision for what I want the tire to do. Time will tell now.
    Thanks.

Does tires wear faster on AWD than 2WD? I get half the mileage of the warranty claim with regular tire rotation and alignment done.

    With normal driving.

I've had great luck with Cooper. I have the more aggressive version of this.

Not sure how to answer this. I run two sets, Winter and Summer. I haven't noticed tires wearing faster on either of my Tacomas (both 4WD) or either of my wife's AWD Highlanders than the front wheel drive vehicles we've owned previously. :notsure:

I believe they're 60,000 miles wear warranty. I only get just over 30,000 miles then they have to be replace.

The tire shop says AWD wear tire quicker.

The SUV is the Rav4. The factory Yokohama I only get around 23,000 miles.

That would make sense, I just haven't noticed. But I NEVER run tires to max wear numbers. I've always, even when I couldn't necessarily afford it, kept "good" rubber under my vehicles. Might be stupid, even what some might call wasteful, but it's the way I've been as long as I can remember. If I had to put a number to it, I typically replace my tires after 35 to 40 thousand miles, regardless of wear rating. :notsure:
