I'm lazy. The garage tells me when I need tires.

I do check the air pressure every few weeks, but I never looked at thread wear.

I've been in Alaska almost 20 years, rough environment that's tough on rubber, probably contributes to my mindset on this topic.

I keep forgetting your're in Alaska. A lot rougher environment.

Tire wear on cold streets must be good.

I see know reason you couldn't build it on that. My next door neighbor liked my pit and did his own.....only he just placed the landscape blocks directly on the ground. He also doesn't use a steel bowl. Instead he put a few inches of sand in it and makes the fires directly on that.

I'm running Bridgestone Duelers in a slightly taller 265/70/17. If I had an OR I would rock a 265/65/16. On fact, that's the size I have for my snow tires.

Well I'm washing my better half's rav 4 today, and giving it a quick detail inside.

Even though there's some chips and nicks all across the front, I genuinely want to see how much I can get the pearl white to shine on this thing. The black roof is pretty oxidized, but I got some stuff that should get most of it. Debating what color to paint the wheels. I'm really set on gloss black for some reason. Since the roof, mirrors, and "wing" are black I think it should go together well. Anything is better than the corroded mess they're now... The little "wing" spoiler thing needs repainted along with the wiper arms so grabbing a case of black would be convenient...

I got lazy and took the rav to the touchless wash three minutes from my house. Rationalized it by saying "leaves me more time to detail it". I'm really curious to see how much shine you get out of the talon. My truck needs twice as much touch up as your talon sadly, bedsides scratched and broken and rusty, back bumper rusty, rocker starting to bubble, paint chip on passenger door that's rusted pretty bad.

Looks like polishing is done for today... RIP Griots 6" DA. Yea, I'm fully aware of the backing plate is replaceable. Gonna try one of those HF long throws...
