Quite obvious that an OR with a scoop is everything a Tacoma should be

Basically a pro , but I think the scoop should be an add-on option for all trims.

Us Canadians can’t get that combo. We can get the aclb in a 6 speed manual however

Nah. With the OR you can pick your lift, wheels and tires. And still have 3k left.

I agree. Also, I think the locker should be an option on all trims. I would’ve gladly paid a couple extra grand for a rear stock locker.

like previously stated. locker isnt really used that often unless you are going crazy hard trails.

had my tacoma for 20k miles with a good amount off road....used the locker 2x. in the snow.
but i did use the a-trac a couple more times. when the car will be flexing and one tire will be in the air in the rear.

I disagree. I use my locker all the time when I get stuck in snow on the trail. I don’t know what I would do without it. It makes a huge difference in traction on snow, to the point where I see it as an absolute necessity if you live in a colder, mountainous climate.

Crawl Control is less important, but it’s definitely not a gimmick. It is useful on steep, slippery descents.

I use my locker 3-4 times a year for sure. Have been in my FJC last 8 years and now on my 21 OR DCLB

I do use my CC on descents for sure

Crawl control is a gimmick until you really use it for what it was designed for. Try it going up a hill when all four slip out , even when the diff is locked. It really works well then. But you’re right, most drivers would never get close to those conditions where they’d need the lockers or CC. It’s really a personal choice based on what it’s worth to you based on what you can afford, where you want to drive and the road conditions you may face.

What math are you referring to? I have not seen any so far. If you have statistics or poll results, please share them. That would be interesting.

I suspect the perception of the importance of these features is proportional the inclines the person drives...

You know, I’m probably an idiot, but if this pandemic thing gets better and the border opens up, one could see a trade thread for 6MT ACLB OR for 4x4 DCLB OR. Price-wise they aren’t that far off so the comp adjustment shouldn’t be terribly significant. Taxes and paperwork are probably the biggest problem. My brother in law’s gf’s truck is titled in Alberta and that makes a US sale difficult for some reason?

He said 99% of TRD Off-Road owners, not just drivers. He’s implying, specifically, that people who bought OR variants don’t need them.

I am referring to the math of the guy that stated 99% of people with an off road won’t use it’s features. Calm down
