Na i've been popping in and scanning a bit but im super busy at work this week. we are finishing up a maintenance shutdown and with all the extra guys on site Covid has been spreading around bad. between guys getting positive test results and the contact tracing we are really short on man power. I'm currently doing my normal position, have to fill the shift supervisor position all week and help out with maintenance coordinator position. Half of my crew is overtime guys and i dont have the worse crew on site. Some of the other process areas are missing most of their crew(11 out of 16 isolating).

We are losing guys everyday and really getting close to a point where it may be unsafe to start up our plant with the staffing levels where they are at. Theres probably going to be some meetings about it tomorrow morning when all the big wigs get in on the Monday flight. see what happens. hopefully I dont get forced to stay and help next week. I'm hearing theyre getting really low in my old area. may have to go back and run the panel for start up.

 

Dude that sounds pretty bad man , nothing rona related but Exxon down here are on a lock out… our contract is up at the end of June

Lock outs are no fun either from what I hear. I've only ever worked Non-Union plants so no experience there.
