He didn't really. He still didn't have it hooked into the intake tract, and the line was coiled up outta the way. The pump hides with the tank in his bed box. Nothing under the hood but the intake plug would have given it away

I didn't want to argue with him.

But I recall Tyler getting lucky that his truck didn't get flagged because didn't they turn it away the first go around? Failed immediately via visual before they ran anything.

It's why he got creative in the first place with unhooking and hiding stuff.

Tyler got an easy pass actually, most likely due to his testing location and CARB EO stickers for the SC

    Exactly.

Smog tech could've been a dick and just flagged him so that he'd have to go into a STAR station the next time he needed a smog.

I got caught with having a CAT stamped only on one side for the Miata; supposed to be stamped both sides :anonymous:

Damn that place sounds shitty. I probably got lucky finding the place I did. Been to them both times now, second time was for the STAR inspection and I was in/out in under ten minutes.

I know the onus is on the smog shop to flag or fail anyone that tries to skirt the rules otherwise they risk fines or losing their ability to operate, so I don't really blame them. Hopefully the guy I go to sticks around

I don't even think I could drive my BMW through CA without getting slapped in irons and left to rot beneath the capitol. The Cruiser and Taco might still pass though.
