I ran the negative through a rocker switch to the parking brake trigger. Works perfectly.

We do have the white plastic grid stuff. I dropped my head liner to do noico and drill for ditch tracks. It’s all accessible and bolts, screws, or snaps in place. Pretty sure there are more pics in that thread given the topic.

Yea, it was in a portion of one of the pictures I posted when I did the headliner insulation/sound deadening on my AC.

I personally can’t stand goat armor but I think it’s a great product for those who want that sort of thing. Also, I wheel my truck hard so bumps and scrapes are all just part of the game.

They make parking brake bypass dongles you can wire in. I put one in with my Pioneer last summer and never had an issue. It basically just simulates the off/on/off or whatever trigger you need for the parking brake negative or ground.

    Something like this:

For kenwoods all you need to do is ground the wire. I crimped a small eye on the end of the wire and grounded it to the radio itself.

That’s weird. The size is right on their website. Sorry about the bad experience.

I tried to install fog lights today but found out the PO broke the housings and glued them half ass back in. Ordered bumper cover from ebay for 100 bucks. Loving the fact I have cheep'o unpainted trim however.

Installed extended stainless rear brake lines. Removed the spare and the hoist chain. Greased the driveline components.

Drove about an hour and a half to Massachusetts.
Gave my skids to @crashngiggles so he can pass them on (TW Express).

I didn't drive up there just for that. There was a small airsoft game that I was part of.
Half way though the second part I had an epic face plant. Nobody asked if I was OK. :(

I just replaced my passenger side CV axle. The inner boot tore right next to the clamp - same place as what happened to my drivers side last year.

I’m getting a little better at this job. Only took an hour this time.

Now for the cleanup - grease everywhere.

Yesterday I made a small bracket to hold a new 3rd brake light. Got it wired up today and am just waiting for the cable clamps to show up to attach it. Amazon says they will be here before 9 but at this point I doubt it will be today.
Also installed some fancy Michellin silicone wiper blades. Time will tell whether the $50 price tag was worth it

Got this from FedEx today. To busy installing a new kitchen countertop today—hope I don’t screw up the hole for the new sink.

Had to make a stop at Lowe's on Thursday, parked with no one near me on the drivers side and nothing. . . not any cars, trucks or buggy's on the passenger side in the whole parking lot - beside, across from or behind. Made my purchase, jumped in the Taco and drove off. Got to the grocery store for a quick stop and came back to find this.

    IMG_20210430_150854.jpg
That silver car was there when I pulled in and still there when I came back and found this in the rear passenger side door. It wasn't there when I left the house so it could only have happened at Lowe's. Too high to be a cart or car and too high for most of the trucks in the lot.

The rains have stopped so I got a chance to see it dry, down to the metal so it won't buff out.
    IMG_20210502_163821.jpg

On a high note, UPS delivered this late yesterday.
    IMG_20210502_163936.jpg

Unfortunately the punch set I was going to borrow from my former employer had all the sizes EXCEPT for the 3/4 or 19MM to punch out the holes in the drip rail covers so I had to order one. Hope to have it installed mid-week.

Also picked up a set of '14 4Runner Trail Edition wheels without TPMS but at the price I think I can call it a good deal . . . free with about 35,000 miles on them.

I just hit 90k miles, so I had my youngest son help me change the oil. I’ve had my oldest son help me in the past to learn what to do and why, so now it’s time to start with my younger son before he starts driving.
