Built a set today, in a whole new way. Let me explain. I've been a bad influence on my daughter and have passed on my Lego addiction on to her. Even though she's out of college now, we'd get together a few times a year and build something together with the grand finale of the year being building something bigger over Christmas. She recently moved out of state for a new job (so proud of her) and I was missing my Lego partner. So I came up the the idea of sending her a set and doing a build together over face time. I chose the Hufflepuff book from the Harry Potter book series since she is also a bit of a potter head. It was actually a pretty fun build. I love the way the scene and accessories all fold down into the book. Anyway on to the pics.

    Successful build

And as a follow up. We decided we like doing this so an emergency Target run was called for to secure the rest of the series. Plus I had to toss a few extras in because Lego.

Picked up this on sale from Amazon. I think it’s an underrated set.

My kiddo loved building it. He's 6, built every one by himself. I think his fave is the T-Rex.

I love my dinos! The original concept that was submitted was a lot more detailed and I wished they had stuck closer to that - hell I would have bought all of them as separate sets if they went that route.

I only hate Rex because he's top heavy and I have to reattach his head every time I bump into the cabinet he's in

I know - its killing me but I'm going on vacation next week and most of my free time has been spent packing and planning for that. Maybe I'll get to it when I get back

if by 6155 and 6175 you mean, maybe. But 6973 deep freeze is classic space era LEGO. Cannot go wrong!

They're all classics and ones I missed out on when new. 6973 has been a grail set for years, finally pulled the trigger. I loved the first wave of Aquazone but was only able to get the smaller sets. These two were the standouts to me, so I'm happy to add them to the collection. The dumb part is what some of these sets go for now...
