This was one of the more fun projects I have had a chance to work on. We are making some revisions after the prototype fitment, just gonna get better.

So if im going with the aftermarket PRP Bucket seats with harness. This is my occasional daily. I know people say to not do a harness bar alone but like if I'm not flying through the desert every single day I don't see the issue with it but would like opinions on it for sure !

It’s the alleged decreased ability to duck your head down when you don’t have a caged roof that people use as a reason not to keep factory style seats and harnesses before having a cage. I can see the logic. Plus on the other hand you’ll be spending money on installing a harness bar instead of just saving for a cage which, if it’s your goal for a year or so, I’d imagine keeping the stock seats isn’t too too bad until then.

I've had trouble at a few races with fuel. Well not trouble, but close calls. Chasing pacific side south of San Felipe we have been caught several times with Gonzaga bay closing or not having fuel. We always top up prior to going south, but running access roads and going back and forth for a broken car has made it close for me (I chase in a 1st gen tundra, just switched to a raptor so we'll see how this one does with 36 gallons). Might not be a big deal if you chase one of the big classes, but our 5 car team only usually has a couple chase trucks. Anyways I just make sure I have 10 gallons of 91 for me as a back up. Most commonly it comes in handy to lend to someone else that is need (if you have it you don't need it kind of deal).

Prerunning wise I'd have even more fuel. If I can ever get a build going it'll have 70 or 90 gallons behind the axle. Plenty of remote places that dont have gas and you need well over 100 miles of range. Not to mention more weight = a better working car

I was thinking the weight thing too, where you're just getting more performance out of the shocks with the ballast behind the axle.

    Speaking of shocks:

    Moving Shocks.jpg

Having a good job is great, makes you work 80 hours a week, which gives you only time to internet fabricate for years. Gives you the means so you can jump on jump on deals for parts, and eventually get yourself in to a giant project hole. I have two now, with zero time to work on them.... then this is what it looks like when you have to move your honey hole of shocks

.... so anyways I quit my job

I'm kind of a donkey, I go to whoever needs help. Most commonly: Ben Swift 524. This last race Ben didn't race so I was at the 250 (first race in the new raptor for me) with Katie Vernola and Kyle Ahrensburg in the RS1 (UTV Pro N/A) 1972

I have an 08' DCSB that has a Solo XLT kit, links and a TRD blower waiting for it. Its currently in pieces.

I also have an 04 Tundra Access cab also in pieces that has a blower on it. This is the one I'd like to keep and go ham on. thinking about chopping the front off and running TTB's for strength, steering and suspension travel, then links big fuel cell etc (full snowball). Tundra is what the big 4.4's (rear) and 3.5's (front) are for in the pic on the right side of the raptor bed. I also have a Cone 72" 40 spline 2.5" snout +10" 3rd rear floater ready for this truck

Looking forward to the peninsula run this year!!

Checked everyone and they all top out at 6”. These are the ADV 4.5”. Really not too worried about it I don’t think. I like the tires being the widest part of the truck. Just need to see how things look once trimmed for clearance

Haha finishing up swapping in a Tundra 10.5” axle. 6” wider than stock.
