Yes you will be getting one of the new FPCs to swap out.
The updated tune I have here I am finished with, including changes to the transmission so I will be rolling that out to all of you, for sure today for you MT guys.

I will double check my emails but I dont think that we completely ruled out leaks through your catch can setup, that's unlikely to be the reason.

Something I should explain but I have not (completely my fault) is that when there is a separate issue (leaks, changing out a part, etc) I really don't like to update tunes or modify them because pretty much all of that work is for nothing once the issue is changed / fixed.

Had to take the whole front end off a 280Z when I snapped a water pump bolt. Thankfully my stepdad knew a lot more than me.

I'm sure the turbo will have to come out for this.

think your "mechanic" was a un-skilled "hack" who should be relinquished to a position of toilet cleaner. Sorry for the harsh review but they/he should not be entrusted with the privilege of owing a tool. JMO - and it has been very painful reading of your install experience. Hope this all gets corrected to a full resolution SOON.

A different shop that I went with to help with figuring out and fixing my overboosting issue has agreed to help with this as well. They also said they're sure the turbo has to come out for this, which I expected and I'm okay with it.

I'm so damn close to having a 100% functional without issues kit which is one of the main things that keeps me from envisioning burning the truck down. It's basically been hardware issue after hardware issue but once this is resolved, I can't imagine there will be anything else hindering my enjoyment of this damn truck lol...tune updates aside I suppose of course.

It doesn't HAVE to come out, but would definitely make it easier.. extractor tool should get it... or drill it out. Heli coils (if the the threads get messed up) work wonders. Good luck we're all rooting for you

I actually have the bits to drill it out myself, but with so much potential for something to go wrong or get worse, I'd rather not tackle it myself during ameteur hour lol

Thanks for the vote of confidence lol

Edited my comment, I meant to say I'd rather not tackle it myself lol

Funny though, I went through a shop to minimize my potential to fuck shit up and because of how much free time I had, and yet ever since I got the truck back, I've been over probably 50-75% of the kit either verifying shit or fixing stuff or sealing the silicone couplers or trying to add lines like with the additional line linking the boost taps, or doing whatever else...lol

I have to drill out broken bolts all the time at work.

Break one little drill bit in there and you have created hell for yourself.

I would definitely pull it out before attempting to drill it, being able to go straight is key to not breaking bits.

Yeah even if I were tackling this on my own, it would suck ass but I would pull it, not desperate to compound the issue

Already emotionally prepping myself for the possibility of being told I need to contact Mat and buy a replacement snail. :(

    Hopefully that doesn't happen.

I am going to be the optimist, and say that I feel that portion of the bolt is going to come out rather easily.

Thanks man. Lol. Hoping for the best.

Plan is to leave work slightly early this afternoon to get home, grab the truck and drop it off. Luckily the shop is like 10 mins from my house.

That bolt broke off pretty flush so drilling should work. I’d recommend welding a nut to it and using a socket on it instead of drilling it out though.

I have like a 33% success rate with drilling and easy outs. 100% with welding nuts on broken fasteners.
