I know, it’s been asked before. I just don’t see if it’s been asked for a small lift as I’ve done. I have bilstein 5100s with Yokohama G015 265s. Front struts set at the first clip to achieve .65 inch of lift. I’ve had the tires balanced four times at two different shops and they’re always “off”, most recently 7oz! No matter what they do, the shimmy is always there.

My question is...would such a small lift up front, and slightly larger tires cause a vibration that is present at 35+ mph.

Did you unbolt the tie rod ends up front? I would go double check those and make sure they are tight, as well as your ball joints. Easy check is to just grab that tire and give it a good shake and wiggle. I would put money on it something is loose.

Does the vibe happen in 4WD? If it goes away in 4WD then it's the needle bearing

Does it go away when put in 4wd?
If so, then you need the ecgs needle bearing

Is lifting the only change you did? No tire/wheel change? Did you measure height before and after?
0.65" should not make any difference at all.

I haven’t checked it in 4WD. Would that tiny of a life affect the needle bearing?

I also swear that the vibration is consign from the back end somewhere.

if your tires keep going out of balance, (if I read that correctly), then it’s highly lightly it’s the wheels and/or tires, not lift. Personally, if they are new-ish, I’d go back to where you got them from and ask for some form of replacement.

Could be off balance wheel/tire. That's the easy fix. I can't imagine that 0.65" would cause needle bearing issue.

You answered your own question. The balance is “always off” on the tire/wheels.

Hmmm..Discount Tires did them for me, they aren’t factory lug nuts, they’re gorilla lugs.

I would go back and have them re-balance wheels and see if lug nuts actually properly fit,

yeah that’s what I thought also, but I dunno how something is always off anywhere from 2-7 ounces. They’ve been rebalanced 4 times and someone always blames the guy before them and says they’re good to go, but they aren’t.

Move the rears to the front and see if the vibes move with it. If it's not the needle bearing and it is your tires and coming from the rear like you think, you should feel the change when you rotate them.

Have them check the tires for run out, then dismount tires and check the wheels for run out. Also make sure they road force balance and that they remove all weights before rebalancing. They also may need to 180 the tires on the wheels. All tires and wheels have a heavy spot in them and though it may be slight if when mounted they line up you can get them balanced on the machine but once rolling down the road that heavy spot will cause a vibration. I worked for Discount and was the guy who handled the balance issue combos. And sometimes you just get a shitty tire batch and they have to swapped out.

Just took on a test drive. Vibration is still there in 4wd. Seems to vary depending on the road so I checked tire cold pressure before my test drive and they were very high at 42psi. I lowered it to 36psi so maybe that helps?
