Haha, they do make some specialized lubes for that!

Taintenance is very important if you are going to have several days in the saddle back to back. I'd look to those masochists who are riding the Colorado Trail for tips on saddle sores.

Just to be sure you are not riding in cotton whitie tighties?

Dude when I get chaffed down there I'd rub anything on it to make it feel better. I think the "her" version will keep you from getting a yeast infection.:D

I agree with all the comments that this is a truck/bike thread and really don't want to carry this discussion on here, but had to correct two things...

First of all, the flu and COVID comparison is not relevant and missing some important differences between these infections. COVID is killing people at >10x the rate of the flu. Second, to those that don't wanna get vaccinated, it's not just about protecting yourself it's about protecting the whole community. Even if your risk of a severe infection is low, you're still a potential carrier of the virus and putting other (less healthy individuals) around you at risk. Please please at least go learn some more about this stuff from a good source, preferably an actual medical professional.

My comment wasn't comparing any level of severity, and I'm pretty well informed/educated on the topic. But thanks for the 'correction.'
So you're completely OK with individuals being punished for making a personal choice?

Did we really make it this far without discussing the vax topic? Is it really worth bringing it up? Nobody is going to change their mind here

A yeast infection is less irritating than the direction this thread is heading.......

No no no, I don't want to perpetuate a topic. But let me at least tell you you're wrong first.

One thing you may not have considered, that makes a big different for me at least, is "time in saddle.” You can build up taint durability, it just takes riding consistently.

My fat ass busted my seat on my hardtail. Need to get a new one - debating if I want to keep the bike long term or not, either way will probably just get an Amazon special.

well that's why I said the comment about over 300 miles on that saddle. I can't ride as consistently as a lot of you, but I have put enough time on this saddle to know that I shouldn't still be having problems.

I see people all the time, new riders/old riders/etc say they have no complaints with butt/taint pain with their saddles. so why do I? only guess I have is improper sizing. I gotta wagon back there. straight dump truck.

This is true but I think @jjones.yota has the saddle time in at this point, but still having issues. I think he needs to keep trying different saddles.
