yeah that about sums him up, old school to a fault. And the kicker is that 6+ months out of the year, he's not even in this country.

    4-10’s (Mon-Thurs)

They asked if I had an idea for wages and I said more than 12.50 would be nice, they laughed and said they’d do way better than that.

Local oil and gas company, had a chance at an internship with them last year too, but then oil went negative in March, Rona, and the company was in the middle of a merger.

Hopefully things go better this time around.

Im going to school in to be an Environmental Engineer, he said inspections, I'm assuming that means inspecting locations. If they run out of inspections I'll move to pipeline planning.

All assuming it actually goes through of course.

Sounds like you're probably doing SPCC or stormwater. Good opportunity to be outside and gain some exposure while making money!

I think the word he used was SPCC. And yes, looking forward to actually learning about what I could be doing for the next 60 years haha. I learned lot when I worked on a rig for a summer, but this is different.

    What do you do?

Just that, but as a consultant. My wheelhouse is construction, water quality permitting & management, and reclamation (upstream and midstream), but we do anything / everything. Engineering, permitting, waste, remediation, etc.

If you have questions send me a PM and I'm happy to provide my biased interpretation of whatever they've pitched to you in an interview haha. I was an intern once as well.

Someone painted a black rubber tube, that's why it looks shitty. I like the drilled and tapped oil cap breather lol. What is it with diesel guys and hacked together BS Still got a baby stock turbo

Been getting random 1800 number calls on my phone the last few days, just been ignoring them. Finally googled one of the numbers, apparently it's a number given to inmates from a local prison

Probably some kind of scam but that's a first.

edit - just checked my voicemail and they've left 2...says it's coming from a correctional facility and that I can only receive a message if I call back and set up a way for them to bill for me it. Lol.

Did one of you guys end up in jail or something?
