On a different note...
So - who came up to Tahoe in their LR Taco yesterday? I was in my wife's car when I saw an LR Taco drive by on the West Shore.

I believe there are 4 or so around SF Bay - including me (a bit further up the hill)...

 

The Taco has made it’s first road trip! Drove across Michigan to the dunes on the west side of the state. Only played in the sand a little bit... pregnant wife and stock tires made sure I kept things tame
Also only averaged 17.5 mpg even with highway most of the time

 

Damn, thats a good looking truck - although I may be biased.

This color looks like it could grow on you. Wasn't a fan of the Calvary at first.

But haven't you heard? The Maxxis RAZR in SL is the offical tire of Lunar Rock.

 

I put my deposit on one April 23 and the dealer said 6-8 weeks. I laughed and said ok. Im only dreaming that is somewhat accurate but from what everyone is saying I feel like it’s going to be a lot longer than 6-8 weeks. Not even two weeks in and I’m just itching to have it already.

 

My sales dude sends me updates every Monday on my LR. So I find myself checking my email frequently on mondays. His last guesstimate was beginning of June. Build date was April 28th and I received my Vin 2 weeks ago. I've read every thread on the LR I have been able to find. Good luck haha!

 

When did you put your deposit on it?

 

Yeah man, it's gonna be a lot longer than 6-8 weeks. I put my deposit down on January 13th and it just landed on May 1st.

 

I figured 3-4 months, even though all my dealers local to me all had the same timeframe of 6-8 weeks. I have no idea where or how they get that number or if it’s just a number to throw out there to get me in there. I had 8-9 dealers all in Texas say that so who knows.

Ok. I’m just going to be as patient as I can and hope for the best. It’s so hard seeing everyone with theirs. I missed an opportunity on one a few weeks ago and got pretty upset with the dealer on that but it is what it is.

 

I just received my update and my truck will be delivered between May 20th and 25th!!
