Sprint Throttle Booster. It is the ORIGINAL. It works. Those who use a tuner such as OVTune, are doing something entirely different. All a Throttle booster does is to increase the response of the butterfly in the throttle assembly, so it is quicker when one hits the gas pedal. Anything else you want, and you need to go to a tuner such as OVtune. I like Sprint because it does NOT plug into the OBDII port. It simply plugs into the plug behind the gas pedal. It is simple and it works. I have it on my 2019 Tacoma TRD Sport. The difference is phenomenal!

I am attaching a link to a video that is probably the best explanation and VISUAL display of what exactly a throttle booster such as Pedal Commander, and Sprint Throttle Booster, do. This should provide the most descript answer to your questions.

Went fishing the other morning with a buddy. Afterwards we grabbed my truck and went for the 6 mile ride into town to get something for lunch. My buddy was nearly speechless how well my truck performed compared to his which he thought his was really good after putting it back to stock along with the latest tuning upgrade from toyota. All he could say...yours is one out of a million, why can't toyota duplicate this truck? Told him it was bone stock no gimmicks. Question is why aren't all these trucks the same?

There is no tune for the 4cyl so you have 2 choices. I would definitely go for sprint booster instead of the PC. PC eventually throws CEL and the truck goes into limp mode. I know a guy personally and there are a lot of similar stories on TW. I never heard of this issue with the sprint booster.

Haha! Although she did try to “kill me” by taking half of my shit, even when I paid for everything and gave her money. Anyways, she got fuck all and I’m glad this mess got sorted out a while ago.

But i switched to a set of my tundra 265/70 16 goodyear adventure a/t tires last summer. Pretty sure they were heavier than the stock firestones. Truck just has noticeably more power that my buddies 2019 v6, plus the transmission and rest of drivetrain seem to work together more fluidly. Imo, its better than my tundra ever was, except for a more taunt ride.

Clearly you don't get it. There is a hesitation with the way the tacoma comes due to the throttle pedal being connected via a "drive by wire" set up as opposed to the oldstyle gad pedal being connected via a throttle CABLE. Pushing the pedal down harder only puts more rpms out there by the time the throttle butterfly activates. As I said in my comment, WATCH the video. It is probably the best explanation of how the throttle assembly works, and what a throttle booster does.
