Nice, howd the install go for you?
I don’t think removing the leaf is that bad but I guess either way you might need to remove the entire pack.

    No picture of the truck?

will try to get some pictures up tomorrow

the install went good, the upper control arms where the hardest part, but my friend in the Houston area is a great mechanic and made it look easy.
Looking at getting the Performance leafs and swapping them out.

I’ve got 255/85/16s on mine and like them.... tho since most are e rated it’ll add to the stiffness of the lift...

I like "E" rated tires ever since I was going down a forest road in Colorado and a rock tore up the belts on a new 4Runner "P" rated tire and made it unrepairable.

I got around to lowering the front about 3/8” on each side and after a drive equated to a little less than 3/4.” My initial thoughts it helped reduce the stiffness more than I expected. She does not seem to exaggerate
bumps as much as before, if that makes sense. I also got around to making sure my UCAs were torqued and they were a little low. I didn’t torque then when I installed them as I couldn’t get a socket in there without that brake line in the way. I got a crows foot that worked. They might have been about 20ft lbs low. I had them torqued stripped in case they loosened and that was unbroken.
Using the Amazon spanner wrench and a breaker bar I had no issues lowering it. The wrench never slipped out but I was also taking my time. I wrapped a piece of tape around the threads to mark where I wanted to stop and make sure the lower lock nut didn’t go further down. My cv boot fins are also no longer touching so I won’t need to do the slide mod.

The real test is when my wife rides with me again to see if it’s not in my head.

For those that got their leafspring: Is it squeaky? And what did you do to remedy the issue?

I've got their stage 2 in my cart for a couple weeks now and on/off the fence on getting it for my 16 year old truck with 167k miles. Currently have Camburg 2.5 coilovers with their uniball uca (rebuilt 70k miles ago with nearly 130k on the coils) in the front and icons aal with their first reservoir shocks in the rear (also 130k miles on the original leaf pack with 167k miles). Not sure if I'm crazy for wanting to spend 2k on a full suspension given the age and milage but truck still runs great.

I don’t see any reason not to if you can afford it and plan to keep the truck. Worse case, keep the old suspension in case you end up “shudders” trade it in you can swap then swap back...
I have the leafs and mine have not squeaked at all. I have sprayed them one or twice with Woolwax and in between the leafs. They may or may not have helped.

Thanks for the reply! I've read and watched many reviews about the leaf pack squeaking and not squeaking so I wasn't sure how common it was (like the OME leaf pack). I definitely plan on keeping the truck until the engine/transmission dies or, god forbid, it gets totaled. Good call on keeping the old suspension if I were to want to part out. I've thought about selling the UCA and coilovers for dirt cheap since they're rebuildable.

Anytime, happy to help and share the wisdom and an internet person lol.
How close are you to their shop? Might be worth trying to visit them and hear their opinions.
While I was looking for a kit, I had seen people complain about every leaf pack squeaking, and made sure I was going to keep spraying something in there every so often. The plus side it’s also corrosion protection.

I'm pretty close actually. About a 15 min drive without traffic. As long as there's a good solution on the leaf pack if it becomes a problem I'm fine with it lol

FWIW- I have the constant load leafs, removed two before installing, but did not do any prep work while I had them disassembled. After reading through this and seeing the steps @Devir7 and others took, I had regrets. BUT I've put on about 4,500 miles since installation inn all types of environment and do not have any squeaking.
Only thing I don't like about them is they showed rust almost immediately. But hopefully I'm the only schmuck thats climbing under and would notice. I did apply a generous amount of red grease into the bushings upon installation, but didn't do anything between leafs. $0.02

I seem to be under mine more than I should be... I usually find a new place to spray Woolwax. I saw a few places today while lowering the front I need to spray as well. I also check my torque stripes to make sure none broke.

Anyone have issues with creaking and groaning coming from front coilovers springs? (I think)

I've had some groaning noises for last few weeks and its getting worse.

It's definitely not the bushing, i can reproduce the sound with engine off and parked.

If i had to guess, I'd go with springs and seats, but I dunno.

I lowered the coil seats down a bit for reduced lift when I installed. Did that after they were mounted, no spring compressor.

I was out on some trails this weekend and noticed the sound goes away after I've worked the suspension pretty good, but then it comes back.

    Any thoughts?

Mine is more of a squeaky noise. It comes from the center bushing on the top of the strut. My kids tell me it’s a dog toy stuck in my truck.
