pretty sure my front seal is leaking again.. this makes twice ive had to replace it in 50k miles. I purchased the truck at 52k, then noticed it leaking and had to replace it pretty quick. it poured oil out at anything over 2k rpm. then also replaced the balancer later chasing belt squeel, (which i still fight with baby powder) so did it again. now its leaking again at 112k. is this a common thing or what?

That is very unusual. How sure are you it is the main seal and not the infamous timing cover leak?

You got a picture you can provide? I highly doubt it's the front crank seal, my factory original made it about 213k before it failed. If you are 100% sure that it's the main seal and when it was rest replaced it was done with OEM and it's still leaking again and especially with it leaking at only 50k miles, I suspect your harmonic balancer is faulty possibly even a bent crank, are you the original owner? Is that the original engine? Any chance it was a flood engine or has water damage?

    OOF.

You may just have a lemon if it isn't hopefully another think leaking that just looks like the front main.

Have you done the fluorescent die test in the oil yet?

I'd get one of those dye kits and put it in your oil and check it very frequently so you can see where it's leaking out from, but you have to monitor it closely as that dye is so sensitive if you don't catch it when it's first coming out you'll end up with dye all over everything and still no idea where your leak is coming from.

It really seems the same as before in relation to where it seems to be coming from There is nothing higher up on the engine. all down low. quite irritating.
