How sad is it that all of the idiots in the universe we're aware of live on that dot?

I hope there’s a break in the weather like they’re calling for, because what’s the point of flying sn15 if I can’t see it?

Word on the street is monday’s forecast looks good, but I don’t want to wait another 72 hours.

Given the risks to the rover if the copter crashed into it, I can understand why they are not doing the unsync/sync thing off/on the rover itself but I was hoping to both see and hear the copter coming/going. Hey it's still beyond cool and the copter appears to be performing beyond expectations. I'm anxious to see what the sound capability will even be used for now other than occasional Mars SBD wind farts.

From Space.com on the latest for Crew-1:

The astronauts will now return on Sunday with a splashdown at 2:57 a.m. EDT (0657 GMT).

Can’t ever remember a nighttime splashdown. Seems exceptionally dangerous.

Edit- Apollo 8 was a nighttime splashdown...

    From ARS Technica:

Add Soichi to the list of bad asses:

The caption read, “Soichi has landed on wheels, a steppe, and now the ocean.”

Failure is always an option, but we're hoping for no.

I'm hoping for nominal everything. Takeoff, belly-flop and :101010: landing.

Same. There's been a lot of changes between 11 and 15 so hopefully they were the right changes.

Without proper landing apparatus how they they actually expect it to be a successful touchdown?

Granted, I am not as into this as much as some of you are but it is something that I have been questioning.
