You’d think 4wd would change the noise somehow though

 

Yeah so no needle bearings up there. I’ve noticed a rattling sound at 25 or so when coasting that sounds like a loose skid plate or heat sheild but all is solid. Haven’t been able to find the cause of that, but maybe related?

 

You need me to bring that up from Phil when I get the bumper Saturday?

Haha that’s probably all I can do now until something decides to catastrophically shit itself.

 

45mph is the worst. Kind of growls until 55, but definitely the worst at 45

 

Carrier bearing???

 

Disconnect the rear driveshaft and put it in 4wd and drive around like that and see if it still has the issue. If not it’s the driveshaft

The shaft when you turn could be putting the shaft in a better alignment for some reason.

 

Swapped it out for the spare, no change AHHHHH
