I cheaped out on a fridge a long time ago and I'll tell anyone to buy the good quality stuff. I love my Dometic.

Damn. Maybe try friends and family if you know anyone that works for REI? Garage sale is always a possibility too.

I actually did have a buddy working there and got me a great deal on a hypervolt...I should see if he's still working there! You guys are dangerously convincing.

Yep, I get it! There are quite a few "decent" sounding fridges in the $300 price range but when ya get down to it, the interior capacity isn't all that great, and they won't have the support that Dometic can provide. I've set my sights on Dometic for sure!

I'm currently rocking an RTIC 65, which has been great despite foods getting wet. What size Dometic do you have?

    CFX40! It’s been plenty for 3 people on a trip. And I can fit a 30 rack easily :p

The 65 single zone is definitely overkill for what my gf and I do on our couple day desert trips. With a drifter and a few more days of play it will be great.

Need to take into consideration what style of adventure you will be doing.

I personally saw no need for a dual zone. If I want ice cream it goes at the bottom next to the frozen foods and we eat it the first night.

Damn that one's been discontinued. I may look into the CFX3 45. But, if I come across a CFX40 somewhere I might be able to catch a deal on it!

I’m selling my truck soon and keeping the fridge - The whole blutetooth compatibility is pointless to me.

Heck yeah, and a bunch of other parts (hangars, relocation, etc). No labor costs and parts are listed for full price so win win.

But this isn’t the right thread to discuss my for sale ad

Finally the weather was good enough for me to go through and wipe down the tent with 303 UV Protectant Spray. I did the seals, inside, outside, and all the window layers. Noticed immediately that the tent got soft, wrinkles straightened out, and the tent was really easy to fold. Wonder if the chemical absorbs into the material making it more pliable.

I use 303 on the tent once a month. As well as all the interior and exterior trim. Fantastic product

I got one of the CFX355IM fridges for when I get my camper, and it's entirely too big. Like the portion of the bed it's going to take up is fucking stupid. Buuuuuuuut I already tested it and I can put ice cream sandwiches in the ice tray spot so that's neat

I'm using my small 15L fridge a lot more than the CFX50. It was also $185, though this exact model hasn't been in stock for a long while. There are plenty of small compressor fridges on ebay and Amazon and this thing's taken a lot of offroad abuse for a couple years. Lower draw is nice. Everyone has different needs, but I would almost run two of these for better storage flexibility (or have one in the cab and one in the back, or one fridge/one freeze).

I got the cfx45. Based my decision on what would fit in the tacoma bed between the tailgate and the wheel well. Maximized floor space. The cfx35 and 45 have the exact same footprint but the 45 is taller.
And agreed that the Bluetooth feature is stupid20210224_162832.jpg
