I was tempted to guess that. But 2021 6MT in Colorado made me think no way and I’ve never seen it. Thanks, I was curious.

    Thanks for confirming!
Got everything buttoned up, and the harness is held together with electric tape.
Hoping Mike will send me a replacement.
    Will post pictures soon.

    Really thankful this mod exist!

Yeah, post a photo of the broken connector. If Mike doesn’t have extra I probably do.

I learn something new every day. And they are just dangling, not sealed with a cap? Almost home from a bike ride but delayed by confetti cake.

How would I replace just the connector? I would have to de-pin it? Never done it before..

It’s not too hard if the connector is throw away. Just one tiny flathead. Remove the plastic TPA. Push each plastic tab out from the front while pulling back on the wire to remove. Reinstall in the new connector. Push TPA to lock in place. I can send photos via DM once you have the replacement connector. It’s the DRL one.

Ok thanks so much. If I can't get ahold of Mike in a couple days would you have a replacement that would work I could buy from you?

Yes. But I bet he has em too and it should probably be free unless you can free solo El Cap and do one finger pull-ups and simply can’t control your own grip strength.

Which clip broke? (Nevermind, I saw the pic you posted above) When I did mine, One of the OEM clips broke on me. I think Toyota just specced a brittle plastic.

On a 2021? You can probably get that replaced under warranty.

Meh, I taped it and it works, I don’t really care. Thanks for the suggestion, though!

How long did you guys have to wait for Mike’s harness? Sent payment over two weeks ago and still waiting. Figured when he quoted me he already had them in stock since he didn’t mention a waiting time.

EDIT: Just saw there was a one week wait. Hoping I just caught him at a busy time. Kind of hard to get in touch with him.

It's hit or miss really, the one (and in my opinion, the only) downside to going that route and the reason why some have gotten frustrated with him in the past.

For any others needing a harness, there are alternative options, I try to keep a list of them in the DIY harness thread.

Some people have waited several weeks. That was a while ago and hear he has gotten a lot better

Took mine about a week and a half, but he was good at communication through his email address. Told me it would be at least a week before he would finish them before I ordered. My impression is Mike is likely doing these on the side in his spare time. Just keep that in mind when you order from him. Nothing wrong with that at all, just don't expect Amazon service from an enthusiast like you with a side gig.

Mike usually takes about a week for me. Maybe a little longer if he’s busy

I wouldn’t mind if he told me it would take 4 weeks cause then I’m aware of it rather than being left in the dark. I don’t mind the waiting I would just appreciate better communication. He did reach out a week ago and said he’s 1-2 days from finishing but haven’t heard back since. I did reach out through his Instagram instead of email so there’s a possibility he just never checks it. Like you said it’s most likely a side gig but I just felt weird sending a random dude money and not knowing if I’ll ever receive anything. Oh well not really in much of a hurry since I didn’t even buy the headlights yet. I was just curious what other people’s experience was with him.
