    On a happy note, I spent a decade on the Georgia/Florida line and don't miss the tornado and thunderstorm and hurricane warnings at all....not one bit..LOL
    Nice and quiet up here in Mid Missouri, with 40* temp swings, 42" snow on Monday, rain on Tuesday and the leftovers from storms tearing up Oklahoma......oh well, nevermind. LMAO

    yeah...dementia can be a buffer for sure. My wife's mom is not suffering from any long standing ailment. No cancer. No diabetes. Just real recent heart problems more due to high blood pressure...but I can tell that she is done. She has "done her duty" here on Earth and knows it. That is what my wife can't see/understand. I saw my grandfather go that route when I was in my 20's...in fact, the night he passed, he had been spending the whole afternoon in the hosp just going "It's over. I am done... mission accomplished". He was at peace with it.

    Very sorry as well Zim!! Hopefully he is at rest now!!

    How close to Minersville are you? We sold an ariel fire truck and several draft tanks to one of the fire departments. I don't think I've ever seen such a dense population of deer in 1 area before as I did on that road trip.
