@Rodchester must admit I knew nothing of charcoal canisters. I did know about vapor issues but is rare that I have completely filled the tank and not immediately driven 1-2 gallons worth of miles afterwards so hadn't worried about that part. No desire to get stuck dropping that kind of money for a completely avoidable situation! Thanks!

Thanks! I’m super happy with how it turned out. I’ve used it twice now as I’m in the middle of a 30 day road trip and I love it.

So, I purchased both a deluxe rotopax mount and an extension to mount both together like that. Both pax I have shown are 2 gallon containers. Then, I just used a 2.5” by 1” piece of flat metal that I spray painted black to use as a clamp system by using the mount on the inner bed side of the molle panels and that flat metal strip in the space between the panels and the truck bed, if that makes sense. If need be I can try and snap a picture later when I get back to the truck. In Chicago, first city of this road trip... gonna hit up wrigley for the first time tonight!

Retrofit a 2019 Sienna headunit onto my 19' OR for Apple Carplay

 

What do these two buttons do? Or is that the edges of the CD slot?

 

CD Player slot indicators.

 

I realized that is what they might be after asking and seeing the eject button to the left. Initially, I thought it might be a way to quickly bring up the left or right cameras on the mirrors, that the 2020+ Tacoma does have.

 

That would be frick'n sweet. But no.

Nice. 2 questions. Where did you get the radio? Was it a simple plug and play install?

1. I found it off car-parts.com off a salvage yard. Ordered the sienna 86140-08190 headunit.

2. Yes, the hardest part was figuring out which way the side radio holders went. Ordered the needed harnesses off auto harness you have to email them for the harness as it it custom made, and ordered the carplay usb connection that makes your current USB able to CarPlay. Took me about 1 hour to install and make sure everything was working correctly.
