Mystery Screw

Drove around in the woods all day yesterday, and heard some kind of rattling/vibration in the rear passenger side of my cab just before pulling off the trail to air up. I wasn't able to ID the source of it at the time, but when I opened the rear passenger door of my access cab today, this torx screw with a plastic liner on the head fell out. I don't see any missing bolts or screws in my cab, none of the loose stuff in my cab has a screw that looks like that, and I've never noticed anything on my truck that looks like that. Anyone know what it's from?

 

Guessing that this truly is a mystery screw, since nobody's responded.

 

check your tailgate, right side. does it have something to prevent it from being stolen? and what color is your truck?

my guess it is the old fastener.

 

Holds the Flux Capacitor in place. Put it back.

 

The irony here is @christian06 shipped my tailgate anti-tweaker device yesterday.

I welded that in.

 

That screw is from the piece that holds the bottom door latch in place for your access cab rear door

 

Look under the bottom side of the Access cab door and you should be able to see where it goes pretty easily
