    Good morning everyone!!!

Ammo is tough to get all around. The police academy at my old college is struggling to get the ammo they need to qualify the trainees. Scary stuff.

I power washed the porch furniture yesterday and then pulled the painter's tape from both the front and back porches later in the day. I also got the water turned on and the filter uncovered at the pool so they guys can get it open this week.

Not sure what today holds....but life is good.

    Be safe!!

Good Morning folks. Rained last night and more showers expected during the day. All the rain is good for the grass and shrubs, but the weeds:annoyed:.

Hi Susan, I haven't seen that many head slaps in a long time. Hope you are surviving the terrible weather in the South East. How are the girls doing? Annie still hanging in there? Hope she is doing okay.

Have a great day folks and be safe out there.

The cost of freedom is never inexpensive. Keep balancing out the plane loads it is necessary. You have never been in a military aircraft until you are seated on the floor of a C130 with nothing but a WEB strap to hold on to next to a crate of chickens. At the time I was happy to be there and I would not trade the experience.

    :hattip: Tom, Good Morning Sir

I've heard the stories and even seen some pictures, but never had to go to that degree. Closest I've been to worried on an aircraft is a no flap landing on ice in a C130E into Goose Bay, Canada early in my career; that was sporty.

Let me take this opportunity to thank you and all the Veterans here for your service and sacrifices for our freedom. That is a big part of what brought me to this thread so many years ago. You have my undying gratitude and respect. God Bless you and yours, and God Bless America.

    Good Morning All,
I too have total respect for and gratitude for the members of our military which have given of their time to make this country safe and the country that it is today. May GOD bless the USA!!!!
I now have a house full (5) kids doing their school work on my WIFI. Oh how schools have changed. It is going great for the most part. Tonight they will be wired for activity. That is all good. Most days I wish I could be wired for the activity which they have. It takes some time to get the old bones going.
Today is mulch day picking up a load and spreading it. Also get 2 propane tanks. 1 refilled and the other as an extra. So that will keep me busy all day.
Be safe, healthy, wealthy and wise today and go USA
    Russ

    Good Afternoon Rob.
Wish I had a camera with me. When I was in Vietnam. I was ETSing home on a flight from Chu Lai to Cam Ran Bay then into Ft. Lewis Washington. The flight from Chu Lai was packed with Vietnamese nationals and a wide assortment of livestock. I can onyl guess what the Air Force called those flights. The civilian flight from SeaTac to DC was strange. I had to wear my uniform and I did get a few stares.

Our women and men serving today have a hard job to do. In retrospect a lot harder than what I had to do. I am not a fan of politicians controlling the military efforts. If the military wanted to try 2 years of universal service I believe I would support it. My generation was the cause of the draft being stopped, for quite a few reasons.

Man, I'm so used to cold that 68 feels HOT! And tomorrow's supposed to be 85!

Presently working on the wrecked Baja Series truck. All I have to do is put fender flares on it to finish the cosmetic repairs.

Think I'll procrastinate and have an ice tea...

We're not getting all the nasty weather....going around me for the most part. Yes, Annie still hanging in there. She's going down hill, but thankfully she's still here and pain free (from what I can tell) thanks to pain meds. Thanks for asking. How're things in your neck of the woods

Things are good here Susan. We Grand dog sat over the weekend and this is one time I wish I had a fenced in yard. All in all they were good pups. Other than that, all is good. The usual "everydays a Saturday" in retired life. Any trips to see the Grand kiddies coming up? You have a great night and be safe with all the bad weather around you.

Good morning, everyone!!! Yesterday turned out to be gorgeous - rain held off until about 7PM. Then the skies opened up. Warm, even a little humid. Perfect.

Enjoy the day and be safe!!

    Good Morning Folks.
Two stops on the agenda today. Kermit goes in for his 1000 mile check and then it's to the body shop to get an estimate and make an appointment to get his bumper fixed. Should be interesting to see how close the Liberty Mutual (other party's insurance) estimate from pictures is compared to an actual visual inspection. More rain is on the way. Stay dry folks and be safe.

Good morning. A little rain today, maybe some TStorms. Not a lot going on today just a haircut and guitar practice. The rain held off till I took the pork chops off the smoker last night.
