Yeah it took me about 3 weeks to get my soft topper. Best package to come home to though.

I am looking at the truss rack for over a soft top. Since this will be above cab height and stick out past the cab sides, anyone notice any wind noise/whistling from all of the little holes?

Curious as to why 'Fresh Air' when UpTop positions it as only for Alpha and not required for Bravo? Have Alpha on order as part of my build - endless Covid waiting of course. Just trying to figure out if I even need FreshAir or just eliminate the 3rd bar outright and go. I will only be mounting boxes up there so I probably will be fine just to mount them to the 2nd bar w/o FreshAir, skip/eliminate/span third bar (or gap where 3rd bar would be), attach to 4th or 5th bar for back of boxes. Done.

But in your Fresh Air install, on what appears to be a Bravo, you are taking out the 2nd bar looks like (not 3rd).

    UpTop Alpha:

Fist post. Sorry for the 'in the weeds' question - just racking my brain (while endlessly waiting) trying to figure out with very sparse info online. Curious as to why you did what you did and/or if anyone can confirm how FreshAir plays out on Alpha - validate or torpedo my thinking above. Thanks.

I ordered the Bravo. At the time their website mentioned that if you have a sunroof to note it in the comments. I noted it in the comments. This is what I had delivered. Maybe ask the guys @upTOPoverland about their evolution for this feature and they could tell you "why" it came out this way at that time. It's just an option. If you don't think you need the option, then don't get it?

Thanks man - make sense. I have seen the lines (Bravo and Alpha) iterate over time via images and its not clear what is V1.0 vs. 1.X or X.X or what model year or whatever.

I set mine up a tad differently in that photo.
And I do use the cross beams for central support. I do think it stiffens up the bars a lot. Also if you just remove the 2nd bar the gap
Is huge so if you load stuff on your roof it’s kinda a pain. I use my rack a lot and I suggest getting the fresh air if you have a sun roof.

    Edit: this is an alpha

Thank you. By far the clearest pic of FreshAir on Alpha I have seen.

How are the scene pods supposed to sit on the bravo rack? Is it supposed to be level with the bottom of the rack or level with the hole for the pod? I can barely force them to fit.

Working on a case to hold the bluetooth relay module for the scene lights.

    20210504_195417.jpg 20210504_195317.jpg 20210504_195248.jpg

It will also act a junction box for the lights. The idea is run 2 wires to the box and then the relay module will control the lights as desired

Any news on when we can realistically expect the snorkel to go live? I’ve been holding off for a while to get one, but the wait is getting a little tough with the need for one. Any tips are appreciated!

    Ya I second this!

that in house fab one that you can get from sloop imports is looking real nice these days and the rumor is they will fit with the UpTop alpha

I am still waiting for confirmation of that

but I really would rather the UpTop snork if it’s coming

We are still actively working on the snorkel! We still do not have a firm ETA but we are getting closer!

Also, I created a second wind fairing to help reduce wind noise against my front mounted bins. Worked out well with the Fresh Air option:

Everything is right up to the minute for 10 weeks at this time with some of the color matched Alphas taking a little longer. Raw material and powder is getting more difficult to predict

Is there some where to see more pics of the alpha on the access cab? I’ve been eyeing racks and this is my favorite but I want to see more examples because I’m a little afraid the shorter cab makes the roof rack look like a funny hat. :p
