Hangin in there like a hair in a biscuit. My taco does everything I need it to, costs me nothing to maintain and is paid for.

Maybe I needed to test drive one to see how much I don't need one, and a truck payment.

Not today but last few days. New wheels and tires came in and got them on. 285/75/16 wildpeaks on method mr701s.

Ignore the mulch, I’m about 3/4 through spreading that pile now too.

    upload_2021-5-3_21-57-41.jpg

Extended and covered my backup camera wiring so I can mount it on my mobtown bumper. Painted the bracket for it, rattle can black.

Painted my tailgate anti-theft hook black.

Pulled my tailgate off and cleaned up some rust on the inside bottom where the silicone sealant or w/e is and rattle canned that part black since it’s pretty invisible when the tailgate is on the truck. Also replaced the cables for the tailgate and that hardware.

I’ve got new bed bolts and some additional tie downs to put in the bed along with my bed stiffeners when I get some more time to work on it.

Ordered the Cali raised light bar kit today and switch. Got a coupon and decided to try this after seeing the install video. Seems like a quality light and like the stock looking swicth. 8512080B-D02F-4B23-8842-EF9D4A588EE4.jpg

Hats off to Matt, my GOAT armor arrived Friday; just in time for opening day Saturday. The wife drew first blood and came home with a nice little roe buck. I, personally, love the GOAT armor. It’s exactly the solution I was looking for since my DD is gradually becoming more of an off road rig, but not solely dedicated to dirt. Just being honest, TRD Sports can only dream of being TRD Offroads. But it’s sure nice screaming down the Autobahn.

Ordered a new R/F fender for it yesterday. Going to have @crashngiggles help me install the snorkel once I get it painted.

I replaced my U-joints and carrier bearing after 175k and am I glad I did because I don't know how many more miles they would have lasted. Let me tell you if you are going to plan on doing this job go rent the press from your local auto parts store. If I had not of done that myself I am sure I would still be beating on those U-joints to get them out.
I finally ordered and installed new door seals to get rid of the damn kazoo we will see if that does the trick. I think it will as the doors are a little harder to close now. I also ordered and installed new rear spring isolator pads due to the originals being worn. Every bump in the road you would hear them creak and getting in and out of the truck was driving me nuts due to the creaking as well. The sound of silence when getting in and out now is amazing.

Installed new Precision Fit Carhartt seat covers. These things are pretty sweet! 20210504_072737.jpg 20210504_072750.jpg

Are those the “seat savers” or the “precision fit”? I’ve been eyeing the Carhartt covers for months, just can’t decide which one.

Sealed up my floor today. All that’s left is to fill up the trans with oil and mount my skids and then the swap is complete.

These are the Precision Fit. I thought about it for a long time as well and then I saw some that a friend had in his truck and pulled the trigger. They fit extremely well. The fit was very tight and the quality seems top-notch.

Did you wrap the tape around the t-case shifter for a noise isolator?
