What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I realized that is what they might be after asking and seeing the eject button to the left. Initially, I thought it might be a way to quickly bring up the left or right cameras on the mirrors, that the 2020+ Tacoma does have.

 

That would be frick'n sweet. But no.

Nice. 2 questions. Where did you get the radio? Was it a simple plug and play install?

1. I found it off car-parts.com off a salvage yard. Ordered the sienna 86140-08190 headunit.

2. Yes, the hardest part was figuring out which way the side radio holders went. Ordered the needed harnesses off auto harness you have to email them for the harness as it it custom made, and ordered the carplay usb connection that makes your current USB able to CarPlay. Took me about 1 hour to install and make sure everything was working correctly.

3. Let me know if you get it and need any help. I know I couldn't have done it without many of the guys here.

 

Installed a Genuine Toyota black chrome exhaust tip for extra horsepower today! Learned a couple things too. The correct part number for 2018-2021 is PT932-35180-02, however in the YouTube video I watched for the install the guy used PT932-89180-02 and it fit. I checked the parts numbers and learned that I used the Tacoma one and the YouTube guy used the 4Runner one. The only difference appears to be that the Tacoma one is longer. I don't know if that'll cause issues for the YouTube guy, but I doubt it. I also like that my longer one juuuuuust lets you see the Toyota logo from above, because I'm vain and pedantic. Install was easy with just a single 15mm ratchet needed, although I'd recommend a deep socket if you have it. Here's a couple links and some photos for the Tacoma one I installed:

Noticed the tires were rubbing a bit on the mudflats, so took the heat gun to it. Much easier than I thought it would be and looks pretty clean.

Also, installed the anytime front & rear camera. Took longer than I thought to install but well worth it cause functions great.
