Nice. How is the leer holding up with the RTT? How many people have you had up there? Any issues?

Topper is holding up just fine, and I had the tent up there all last spring/summer/fall. There are no stress cracks and the topper has never shifted. It's just been the wife, kiddo and myself up there. When installing the tent again for this season I added the 270 degree awning up there with it. The awning is a bit bulky at 60lbs, but so far it seems to be doing just fine. We're heading to Utah next week and will be the first trip with this setup.

Good to know. I thought the 100XR was rated for 150-200 static. Could be wrong. However the few guys I have seen with similar setups have reported no issues as well. Been eyeing the ikamper mini myself.

Any recommendations on a repaint? I got my shell paint matched at Maaco just 4 years ago, and its already trashed... maybe I'll try bed liner or something... 20210428_103849.jpg

I think the static load is much higher, and dynamic load is 165lbs-220lbs according to Leer's website with Thule hardware. Prinsu lists their racks has having a 300lbs dynamic and 600lbs static load capacity. Last summer, I was off-camber and did some moderate wheeling with the tent on and didn't have any issues.

Wow. How did this happen? Was it just a bad paint job or something?

Yeah I'm sure it's about the average lifespan for a Maaco paint job. The clear coat just got destroyed by UV I think. Then water got underneath and really started to pop up the clear coat. I even waxed it a decent amount

Which awning did you end up with? How do you like it so far?

I have a very similar set up to yours (100xr with tent in the same orientation), and have been thinking of an awning like yours too.

I went with the Overland Pros Wraptor 4k. So far I'm pretty impressed with it, but all I've done is open it up in the driveway a few times. We'll see how it holds up next week. I had to get a little creative with the mounting, as the brackets it comes with aren't quite made for 80/20 style roof racks. I'll see if I can get some pictures.

You can get ruled adhesive tape which is great for measuring over curves to get them paralleled

Drove across state for this Wildernest yesterday, got it for 800. Waiting on hardware to arrive for mounting. If anyone has any tips let me know. Or any questions hit me up.
