100K miles seems like a solid milestone and I thought I’d share a few thoughts about my Tacoma to mark the occasion. Overall I’ll have to say I’ve really enjoyed the truck so far. It’s been great at everything I’ve asked it to do. It’s a comfortable commuter, a great truck driving on the beach and other off roading, a capable hauler, and a good tow vehicle. I bought it used with 15k miles on it and have driven it just about every day since then. In 2019 with visited every state park in North Carolina and she was there for every camp out and road trip.

Knock on wood, I’ve had zero mechanical issues, with only scheduled maintenance so far.

If I had to find a complaint it would be the shifting of the transmission, but it hasn’t been bad enough to make me try one of the solutions that can be found on here.

To celebrate we went on a trip to my favorite pizza joint.

I passed this field at 99996. So I drove 2 miles past it and turned around to get this picture at right at 100K.

You mean despite the transmission shifts, loud diff, shin-hungry dashboard, non-diesel, non-manual, non-solid front axel it's still a reliable Toyota???

Congrats, here's to your 200k report!

I know I may be channeling Carl Sagan, but......Imagine.....If you were able to drive your Tacoma away from the Earth for 100000 miles. This is what the Earth looks like from that distance. That is how far you have driven. Congrats on your achievement.

@snapspinner nice milestone! My wife and I also completed all the state parks in NC and it was a great experience. Did you do the passport program?

Nice! I made a post a couple of weeks ago as I also hit the 100k mile mark....bought mine new in Jan 2019. That is a beautiful area of NC you went through...I go back to NC often, as I went to school there. My son has around 250k miles on his 1st gen...he bought it from a close friend of mine who bought it new. It’s great to see folks with vehicles that allow such posts.

Hey thanks for all the good thoughts and replies. Didn't think about the 100K is like driving around the world 4 times, makes it seem a lot further when you say it that way.
