Truck is going under the knife this weekend for final summer preps. Then I'll be ready for all dem trails

 

I live in Hughson, in the Central Valley about a hour and a half north on 99 from Fowler

Been out to Bald Mountain alone a few times. I need new friends out in the 559 once I move there at the end of the year.

 

@TacoJohn4x4 is a hella cool dude, with a pretty damn nice 1st Gen. He's in Fresno.

As a matter of fact... John... scroll up and check what we're talking about Niagara Rim Trail in June.

 

Lotta maintenance: new front suspension bushings, cab mount bushings, New tie rods, Cam tab gussets. I'm also finishing designs on a new roof & bed rack.

 

I’d be down to join if my schedule aligns with when you guys plan it. I have to say I’m fuckin booked up pretty good this year. But my front locker is getting installed this week so I want to put it to work this year.

 

You had mentioned, a couple weeks ago, that you'd like to check out NRT. This would be a good trip to check it out. And it looks like you'll have all the time you need to do whatever break in is necessary.


Seems like June 26-27 is looking like a date that might stick.

Right on. I've wanted to get down there and wheel with him. I've never been out around Bald Mountain, but totally game for it. Things just haven't come together to make a trip down that way.

 

It's a nice drive and I'm actually making a Meet out of it if you check out my sig.

I hope to meet up with John one day; pretty familiar with his truck as we've talked about it quite a bit.

There are a ton of trails out here so I have no reservations about moving out here!

559Yotas (Facebook) seems to go out there often as well as many other trails.

Maybe I can try getting in a trail run before the move though.

 

NRT late June should work for me.

ill bring some fresh straps so yall can drag my long ass over/around/through them obstacles lol


Ive been trying to build a list of "trails i think my truck can make it through" sort of a goal sheet for now.

Ive made it about this far before i just cried and looked at my wallet

 

Niagara Rim is totally doable in your truck. There's a couple spots that you may have to do a couple more turns than a shorter wheel base. But you have some clearance. Seems like this thing will have enough (good) spotters to get you through fine.

 

I may try and roll on that Lunchtable meet. Late Oct is after hunting season, so that's a plus.
