Then must be how you drive. I remember that time I had my Fj . My wife used it for a week when I had it back, it felt preppy . Wifey likes to mush on the pedal off the line .

Idk, i drive the tacoma like i drove my 2001 tundra. Believe it or not, the taco runs the same rpm at the same speeds going up hills on the roads here. Really no difference. Rode in my buddies 2019 trd awhile back, it seemed to be downshifting a couple times over the same hilly roads to maintain the same speeds. I'm still thinking there are performance differences between trucks that some run better than others.

There you go, you just explained it yourself. 2020-21 drives better with than 2016-19 d/ t updated ecu’s as what some 2020+ owners here reported although it’s performance still doesn’t compare to tacos with kdmax6.0 premium tune.

Definitely you won’t get better MPGs, maybe same or worse, depending how you drive.

The Toyota Dealer clued me in on the iDrive. Does the same thing for the most part but in a clean and tiny form. I like the Auto mode the best. It does just give it the faster response when pulling out in to traffic Etc. https://idrive-usa.com/collections/toyota

Not sure what you mean, but both my 2020 and buddies 2019 have had the latest ecu update from toyota, but they definitely have performance differences between them. I have no clue about your kdmax6.0 tune how that compares. The way everything works now is fine with me.

Not sure. A am sure they all do about the same thing. I just know it works for me. Also has an ECO mode which works good when off road in the loose stuff to help keep me from digging in the sand by slowing down the throttle response a bit.

NO not at all. The Sprint Throttle Booster provides more "juice" to the electrical signal that operates the butterfly in the throttle. It makes it react quicker, depending on how you set the setting on the Sprint controller. I have one, and it is insanely great! There are two sets of settings; eco and sport, and each has 9 different settings. Sport believe it or not, is just TOO quick for me! I have mine set on Eco9 or green9. That gives me quick response, but not so much that I screech tires just backing out of the driveway, which is what happens when one uses the Sport mode! The ECT button basically just leaves the trans in each gear a little longer, resulting in higher rpms before they shift, which of course, will result in lower gas mileage. But hey, it is all in what you want!

I agree! The iDrive Calls it "Custom User Settings" and on level 9 (The Highest) It is too much to enjoy driving on a daily basis but it is fun when you want it.
