true he does have gutted cats now and a X pipe setup no more Y (in a sense but in a way still does).

I am going to have some pipping laid this week and possibly have them redo my Y-Pipe in the meantime. Anything to consider. Keep it the same size I assume but with a larger 3" merge to the cat-back portion which will be 3"

Why did you tag me? You know the tangent I'll go off on regarding pulley sizes.

You were fairly neutered exhaust wise at that time though.

Does the prior data still stand?

    Hey guys,

I'm here and doing ok. Just been busy doing all sorts of things not y-pipe related.

I'm trying to get back to it soon!

Ya. I was actually comparing to a previous dyno I did on my truck, with a 2.8 and headers, y-pipe, but other than that no other performance mods. The numbers were a bit less than what @12TRDTacoma had in the last dyno he posted, but of course he is HP tuned while I was on the TRD tune at the time, back in 2013 around this time of year. Man 8 years. To think what a young inexperienced kid I was way back then at age 29.

The size of your pulley should be appropriately matched to the flow of your engine. If you have a very free flowing exhaust and intake setup and you are maxing out things there is no reason why you can't go 2.5 or even lower, but if you are slapping on a 2.5 on a catback only truck then you are going to be hitting boost numbers too high outside of the blowers efficiency range, at which point you are doing nothing but producing heat. Yeah the blower SOUNDS faster, but it is actually just baking your engine, and the blower and robbing you of useable horsepower more than actually making power.

Remember, assuming you are not using water/ meth injection, you want to stay within a nominal range of 6.5-7.5 psi at wide open throttle, that is the MP90's target boost range where it is most efficient and producing solid power.

I actually would like to throw the truck on the dyno one last time to see where it stands now with the dual exhaust and the X pipe, as well as the Efan and the precision HPtune now that I got dialed in using the AFR gauge. As of current I have a feeling I am probably something in the 325-335 HP range.

It tows my 2000+ lb boat around with very little effort and I don't even realize it's back there most of the time, and that alone is a solid accomplishment considering how much of a slug these were from the factory.

It has sort of become less about the pursuit of horsepower at this point and more about the sweet sound of the exhaust when driving out and about for me. ;) I would still like to know where I currently stand, however.

The question is WHO is going to get his fixtures when he decides to stop making them?
