Going to be getting some tires (265/70/17) this week and wanting to get a great all terrain and looking at the Nitto terra Grappler and the Toyo open country all terrains. I am pretty set on these 2 because I found either for $155 mounted and balanced. Which one would you guys get and why? The nittos are a little more aggressive but same tread pattern but thinking the toyo's may last a little longer. Would love quality input.

They are both made by toyo so thats something to consider as well.

Im just saying if one happened to be more expensive or something. I myself havent had either, but I would prefer the looks of the terra grappler

Now I may be bias just because I have toyo's. But they do last longer, and have been leading the tire industry in cusotmer satisfaction for 6-7 years. I asked the same question before I got mine, I had two lift guys recomend them, and Les Schwab (prolly just marketing).

    My 2 cents

just because toyo owns nitto, doesnt mean it's better. i'd say they are fairly even.

id go for the nittos. The more aggressive tread will suit u much better offroad.

i've heard nothing but good things about the Toyo's. Nitto's are somewhat of a mixed bag, i've heard good things, but also a lot of bad... Toyo's get my vote.

I have 265/70/17 terra grapplers on my truck.

ride is great in dry rain and snow. offroad is excellent as well. but the tires are LOUD. much more so than the open country a/ts on my mom's grand cherokee.

if wheeling is your priority, get the nittos. if you'll be on road more (and would appreciate longer tread wear and a quieter ride) get the toyos.

    cheers
