Hope all goes well with the Doc appointment. My buddies dad had a knee replacement years ago and after he recovered he said he wished he did it 10 years earlier. The recovery sucked he said but after he felt like a new man

The rain is supposed to finally pass later this morning. My grass needs cut but my yard is rather swampy after days of rain. I am setting my sights on tomorrow for the grass. Here's to some dry time.

Here's the kicker. He called me at 9am asking why I didnt knock on the door or rang the doorbell to wake him up. But was really nasty to me on the phone. I explained to him that it's not my responsibility to wake him up for work it's his company not mine. I was up and there ready to work. He continued to become real nasty asshole to me on the phone so I said I've had enough never said I quit but I'm not dealing with this any longer. I don't drink and even when I did I didnt during the work week only on weekends. I'm a worker I don't mind working. But when you waste my time and I'm at work and "him" not being up it's not my problem, it takes me 40min to yet to work every morning your now wasting my time and money

I had a boss like that before. I was the foreman for his landscape company which I could take of all the crews just fine. But when I did have a question or problem he'd be hard to get ahold of, he'd be at the American Legion or somewhere else and not answer. I'm glad to be away from that whole mess. Good luck and I hope something works out for you

I just got a call from a PA Dept. of Health contact tracer. She was a professional, friendly woman asking questions regarding my grandson. Last Thursday he talked me into letting him stay home to "take a mental Health day" (LOL, kids these days). I reluctantly agreed, as this was his first 'just skip school day ever.' I don't want him getting into bad habits. Well, I believe in Providence and Providence must have been smiling on us because he came home from school on Friday and said 14 out of 20 had been sent home due to being in proximity with a student who had come to school on Thursday with COVID. I thought how fortunate we were that he skipped that day. For some reason the school district gave his name to the PA Dept. of Health today. I explained that he was not there that day and has been on school every day since. She asked if she could go over the symptoms with me, which - even though I am aware of these, having followed the COVID virus carefully from my retirement chair - I agreed to as I understand she has a job to do. He has none of those symptoms so she recorded that and then asked if I would like to keep his "file" open for the next week until the quarantine period would be over. Because he had no symptoms the call was mine to keep it open or not, she informed me. I declined that offer. I saw no need to keep an open file on a closed matter.

Any suggestions for anywhere to do some very easy off roading within a few hours of SE PA? Have never driven off road before and would like to try something simple.

So the first week of June all be driving down to Pensacola, Florida for my oldest son's graduation on June 4th (which happens to be my 42nd birthday). This is the route I'm taking down. My 9.5 year old will be going with me so I want to take hime to see different things on the way back. Probably drive straight shot down and take two days back stopping along the way to check out cool things/sites. Any suggestions for sites or anything else? I'll be taking my wife's 2019 Toyota Rav4 Adventure AWD just because it's going to be atleast $200 cheaper in gas.

If u can swing by and drive the blueridge parkway , all kinds of interesting stops there. Grandfather mountain is a nice landmark stop, bears that eat peanuts, Mt Mitchell has the highest peak in the Eastern US. Blowing Rock NC has Tweetsie railroad for the youngsters. Of course check to see if they r open due to covid . I'll think of more . Nice time of the year to travel. Post pics.

Heading the folks' tonight to celebrate their 73rd wedding anniversary. I missed the 70th as I was in India at the time and I am still payin' for that! Ha! That is, in my opinion, a staggering number.
To add some Tacoma flair, dad has a 1st gen xtra-cab. A super base model with 2WD and small steelies (14" maybe?). It is a 6-cyl 5-spd though. So low to the ground, it drives like a car.
