Miles per tank

385 miles to empty after filling up. I try to fill it at a 1/4 tank so it's not too bad... Running 93 octane.

 

By avoiding mods that have a large negative impact on mileage,,,, like a lift and larger/heavier tires.

 

If i filled up with premium i'd get crappy fuel mileage to.

385 when filled and usually get around 340-360 per tank before filling up with about 2-3 gallons left, 20-22 mpg and around 60-65 miles per day on highway.

 

Truck says 375 when filled and getting around 275 when filling up while truck says I have 50 miles left before empty.

I usually fill up when the needle hits 1/4 tank, just happened to fill up tonight. Truck is saying I have 561km (349miles) to empty, average around 12l/100km (19mpg) with 87 octane doing around 60% highway 40% city driving. I'm bone stock 2021 TRD OR.
I use Simply Auto to track my trips and fill ups because of work, looks like I had 400km (249miles) between my fill ups.

I honestly don't mind filling up more often than I did when I had my Honda Civic, gives me an opportunity to check out my Taco at the pump.

There's so many gas stations around within 200km of wherever I go, even off road into the boonies. If I get stranded, I'd say that'd be my own negligence.

Can't wait to get mods & bigger tires. This Taco is all about smiles per miles

 

I average a little over 18 mpg, or 380 miles per tank, but that's still going up. I drive like a grandpa and live in a relatively low traffic area. However it's quite hilly around here.

Why spend more than you have to?

I do use Top-tier gas though.

 

~270 on regular w/ horrible California fuel.

 

Hour and 47 minutes on interstate keeping it around 70. 28mpg. Dunno what you all are doing wrong. Mine's stock 2wd of course, with air dam. Toyota should advertise "up to 28 mpg on hwy". 28x22 gal, should = 600 per tank if all interstate.

 

You could really push the distance if you're willing to get that distance to empty number low enough. How big are the fuel tanks on tacomas? like 22 gallons?

I regularly stop for gas when my light comes on and its around the 1/4 or less mark on the gauge on the dash. This lets me get around 18 gallons in. Thats somewhere around 325-350 miles. if you dive a bit more, you could prob get up to 400 miles, depending on how you drive.



Time of year seems to have a factor on MPG as well.

 

Just out of curiosity...

When you guys/gals state the MPG you're getting, are you actually doing the math or just repeating the lie your dash told you?

 

I do the math.

 

I hitch up my trailer every other weekend. My truck's trip computer doesn't know what the fuck is going on.

 

We all have the same tank though so in this case it’s an appropriate question.

 

Calc'ed and charted. About 20mpg lifetime (almost 50k) with correction for the larger AT tire size according to GPS.
