To me, it resembles a re-worked Mickey Thompson Deagan 38.

I have them on my Land Cruiser. Better for rock crawling and tough trails. Not as good in wet and snow like my Duras. As a DD they wouldn't be ideal.

Looks more like an Evolution with extra siping than an ST to me. Wondering if this was the precursor to the Evolution after the copyright issues with Rugged Trek?

I’ve had M/T tires on a couple DD trucks in the past and know about the rain and snow drawbacks on the road.
Was more curious about quality, treadwear, mileage etc.

I found the Cooper ST Maxx’s to be a pretty good middle ground on my 2012. Tons of highway miles for work and on and off of construction sites all day, saw plenty of snow in upstate NY and did a number of trails with them.

They balanced incredibly well, wore well and did did very well in mud for not being a true MT tire. I’m gonna wear the stock Goodyear’s on my 21 down and put a set of ST Max’s on in the fall before the snow flies.

    I'm getting these installed tomorrow.

Based on all the specs I can find, these are the "ideal" Tacoma tire. They're a true 33" tire, they look aggressive, they're about 58lbs, they have 18.5/32" tread depth (deep for an AT), and they're reasonably priced (for now).

There's two different sidewall tread patterns. One is called knife blades and one is called mountain peaks. Which sidewall do you all prefer?

I don't know too much more about these tires but will answer any questions as best as I can.

Yes, I've had them in the rain. So far they've been flawless. No slipping or spinning. However, we'll see if that maintains as they wear in.

No real noticeable road noise, but I'm a fan of loud music, so your miles may vary.

And of course by loud music he is referring to 'Michael Bolton - When a Man Loves a Woman' at full tilt on repeat

His dedication to this piece of music truly is alarming

Awesome, thanks for the input. I have been searching for my next Tires to purchase and I think I'm going to give these a try.
