And EV will drastically change the environmental impact of transportation of people and goods. Progress doesn’t always have to happen on the same front, plus speed of transportation is limited by human drivers, not vehicles. A self driving EV can probably travel at 150mph on a highway safer than a texting teen doing 30mph.

All my opinions in one post..lol. Thanks. But the haters that never even drove an EV or are too scared will still crap on it. Opinions are like Aholes, everyone has one. Well I dunno about Caitlyn Jenner but I think she does.

I'd really like an EV DeLorean. People have done LS1 swaps, but it's really not a burple or brap kinda ride.

If you think the infrastructure for an EV is poor, Hydrogen will blow your socks off. Even Toyota has bailed on this idea.

But why? Seemed to be the most 'green' approach. My guess is that it's harder to manipulate the usage and creation of hydrogen.

Hydrogen is alive in Japan. Honda and Toyota produce vehicles that utilize hydrogen for Japan.

I don't know if I'd call 300 hydrogen stations and 3,500 vehicles "alive", but I get your point. Hydrogen seems like a thing that should have been more popular, but got skipped over for various reasons.

Building more charging stations seems logical too me. Are we not allowed?

Can you imagine the cost a garage will charge too find a short/problem in an electric care.Repair places cringe at any electric problems.
California just wrote about not having enough charging stations causing folks to go back too gas engines.

Yes, 20% of them switched back to gas. There could be any number of reasons for it.

That same article also said that 80% of people stuck with an EV though...

    https://www.autoweek.com/news/green-cars/a36329317/ev-owners-switch-back-to-gas/

Article in question for those curious.

    Some pertinent bits,

"In a study published in the journal Nature Energy by the University of California Davis, researchers Scott Hardman and Gil Tal surveyed Californians who purchased an electric vehicle between 2012 and 2018 and found roughly one in five switched back to owning gas-powered cars."

    Oh, and this...

"Most indicated they found charging the batteries was a pain. Business Insiderpublished a story on the study that said of those who switched to gas, more than 70 percent lacked access to Level 2 charging at home, and slightly fewer lacked Level 2 connections at their workplace."

WTF would you buy an EV without the ability to charge it reasonably lol.

Why is everyone so spun out on charging stations? That would only been needed for road trips and homeless people who don’t pay for an electric bill. A lot of people pay for electric service and have outlets available to them in their domiciles .

Don’t you park ur cars at your homes over night away ways ? You like going out of your way once a week to a gas station or even charging station ? EVs will give significant amounts of people the leisure of charging from home where their car is parked for most of the time anyways. Right ? Parking ur car at home ... and charging ? Isn’t ur car sitting in the garage or drive way right now as we argue on the internet in this moment? . Ya that’s when you can re charge dude .... hello... you guys like stopping off at the quickie mart for gas and smokes or some thing ? That whole Process of “fill up gas “ is gone bud. Parking a car ... and refueling was two separate things in life. Now with an EV they can be as one, simultaneously . You can now eliminate one less step in life (not to even mentioning oil change, smog check and service steps out of ur sad life)

For the shoe box dwellings (apartments) the land lords (or condos HOA) will need to have charging sports installed . If i lived in an apartment in this day I’d run a 100 foot long extension chord out of my 110v outlet till my land lord realized what I was doing .
Why are people acting like electricity is so much harder to make than a f**king petroleum refinery, deliver network of container ships pipe lines and dumb semi trucks which flip over and burn up the whole freeway preventing me from getting to work on time .

Level 2 charging ???! Uhh you mean installing a 220v outlet like any non disabled electrician can perform. You don’t need a Tesla charger , a normal dryer outlet can suffice.

    lol
Auto-week !? That’s like trusting car reviews form jd power or some another scam ass place.

my friend. Find someone with an ev and drive it and ask them what they think . Also for non bs reviews you should leverage places where real consumers are allowed to talk and rate things. Like Yelp? Google reviews? YouTube videos from many users , forums where real people who are not incentivized by sponsors discuss the issues .... right ?
