Slow speed dial still works proper and I definitely feel the effect of how they're set. Unfortunately now, I can't feel any difference on any high speed changes anymore. Pretty upsetting since I just rebuilt them.. I remember they were difficult to adjust prior to rebuilding once they were set to the firmest setting even from new; never had this free spin issue until now.
PS I never messed with the DSC during the rebuild so I can't blame my own incompetence since I never messed with them mechanically.
It would be nice to see an exploded view of the DSC to see what part of the coupling would have failed, and why it makes the adjuster gets so tight in the firmest setting.

50k Miles for street & off-road is a good reference point, however depending on use and abuse that could be less or more.

Definitely not good if they are able to spin freely like you mentioned. There is a good chance a c-clip came loose inside which is making the adjuster not work. Definitely something that can be repaired. These DSC adjusters can be tough to rotate, but its important to not over-rotate them as well.

I'll be putting together an article soon about those adjuster knobs.

In the image below, on the right you can see the small c-clip holding everything together. There is a good chance this came off. I would highly suggest not messing with the adjuster knobs until getting that fixed.

That's interesting, thanks for the input.. it looks like I will have to take them off the truck to actually investigate this issue further.. I was hoping that the knobs were sealed off from the resi, allowing me to remove them to inspect for damage.. looks like that 200psi of N and shock oil would likely end up being my lunch haha

If the adjuster knobs are in normal working condition and not spinning freely, they can be removed safely without discharging the shock. If the knobs have been compromised and you think they may not be functioning correctly I would advise not touching them and sending them into a pro to have looked at. There are a few small springs and ball bearings that can get lost if you are not careful taking it apart.

@AccuTune Offroad can you all make a video or article on how to adjust the hoses that go to the resi to come out at a 45 degree angle? I'm trying to reposition with resi and seen some where that you could barely loosen the hose at the resi and reposition and then tighten them back up. I'm really worried about letting out any N.

@AccuTune Offroad thanks a ton! I really wish I lived closer to you all. I need to adjust the o-ring seal side of the resi. What size is that nut on the Fox 2.5 with DSC resi? (I've been looking for an excuse to buy a new SAE wrench set) What adjustments does your shop normally make on the Fox 2.5 with DSC resi? I remember I had to wrestle with those bastards to get them in place. The brackets had a little adjustment and that's how I got them on but that pushed the dials of the resi closer to the tire. I want to push the bracket and resi back further into the wheel well and away from the tire. I'm hoping that a 45 degree adjustment to the elbow will help with that.

I believe that nut is 7/8". We do not make any adjustments to reservoirs on OEM specific shocks

Rotating the fitting will help in getting the res mounted but be careful. If you turn it out too far you will get your tire rubbing on the hose when you turn. Ask me how I know this. And yes I think it is 7/8...I think a 22 mm fits too.

How do you all get those damn res in place to clamp them without adjusting the fittings? It's like wrestling a damn bear.

Do you think 45 degrees is safe?

Too much. Mine were like this and they rubbed. Of course your wheels and tires may vary.

Playing with some mounts today. Shocks will be in tomorrow, @AccuTune Offroad got me set up with some FOX-985-26-118 shocks. I’ve seen some people say the universal reservoir mount fox sells are a little to big for the 2.0’s reservoirs. According to fox the resi’s are 6” long so I cut about 2 1/2” out of the center of the mounts and welded them back together. Should fit nicely now

How would i find out what kind of compression/rebound shim stacks my 2.0 rear resi shocks have? Do these numbers mean anything?
