    Unfortunately, you will not see a build date. You need to get build date updates from your dealer.

    How about 7 days. I "ordered" or should I say txt'd/emailed every dealer in town to see if they had what I wanted on the lot or in transit, (Toyota's and dealer's websites are not accurate), OffRoad, Silver Sky, MT with Tech Package, lucked out and found a dealer who did and reserved it on 4/22 and picked up on 4/30.

    Ordered on January 4. Dealer just notified me that it's coming into the Port of Houston on July 11 and I may get it about July 16. Ouch!

    Didn't ask. Didn't say. Wonder if its coming from Japan. Think if it was Mexico it would have come by rail.
    Just talked to the dealer - Houston is the distribution center for a 5 state area. Even though I'm about 45 miles from the San Antonio plant where it's being built, it goes to Houston and then back to me.

    Well, after starting my search early February - and many salesman and several dealerships later, my ORAC is being built today - a Cinco de Mayo birthday for my made in Mexico, Japanese designed truck. Never thought I'd be saying those words, but after a lifetime of GM I've been beaten into submission. super excited to be getting this awesome truck ... hope it makes it to me quickly! (not likely though) - and yah pre-production VIN went dark around mid-day.

    I believe initial design / first gen was developed in Califronia, believe 3rd gen is japan - not 100% certain - modern developments usually globally distributed these days - probably joinlty Japan and Toyota NA... anyone knows for sure chime in ...

    personally, outside of a VIN digit I would guess not. automated equipment and release criteria likely standardized globally.
