Did you have them cut a key for you and everything? How do you program the new remote. I'm coming in with zero background knowledge/experience here.

it's just a shell. you remove the pcb (printed circuit board) from the factory remote shell and put it in the new shell. the metal key is held by a pin to the outer plastic that holds it in the shell.

Not sure why it matters where the truck was made... I have an American flag on mine because... Wait for it... I am American.

Nice. So no soldering or anything required. Someone with basic skills can handle this?

yes. did this for my inlaws and their hyundai keys. you may need to get a punch pin tool if you don't already have one.

Perfect, thank you. Oddly the listing at alibaba is claiming it is imcompatible with my 2018 SR5 DCSB key? It's the simple 3 button key, seems like it should work just fine.

    Yes @MTB Mamba
But it much easier if you have a heat gun to remove the chip.

After waiting almost 6 months I went from the TRD Sema wheels to the Rays TE37 XT in 17x8.5 and -10 offset. I paid a little extra for the gunmetal color to keep it close to the Sema wheels but black would have looked nice as well. The only minor disappointment was they weighed 18.6 pounds when I was expecting 17 pounds as per the Volk TE37 thread that others had reported. They are still 6 pounds less than the Sema wheels but 3 pounds more than the 17 inch wheels TE37 SL wheels I put on my wife's RAV4 last year. I would have gladly put on the TE37 SL wheels on my truck but they don't make them in a 6 lug version. IMG_0462.jpg IMG_0464.jpg IMG_0468.jpg IMG_0104.jpg IMG_0102.jpg

It’s sitting at my work in Redmond. Hopefully it doesn’t get installed onto my coworkers truck.
