It doesn't look like he moved the truck or cycled the suspension after lowering off the jack. It's always going to be taller until everything cycles to get to normal ride height.

It will be interesting to see what you end up getting and also how they compare to your 5100s. Some of the pictures I have seen make 5/6 look way more than 2” and others don’t. Seem to vary quite a bit depending on the truck for whatever reason.

Mine get installed tomorrow on 3/4. May bump them up in the future and add some UCAs, but going to try this out first.

I'm just commenting from the peanut gallery. I know next to nothing about expected lift from 6112's.

I'm saying it looked like the guy in the video measured before moving the truck. You need to roll a few feet or go over a speed bump after coming off the jack before measuring to get an accurate idea of lift.

you are right.. mine settled lower from right after install after using the truck off road on some rough stuff (ran over a few 7" inch curbs a few times to help) in comparison to just pounding along on smooth pavement

I’ll definitely report back. Depending on height I get. I’ll adjust rear accordingly. Definitely looking forward to see difference.

It will most certainly settle. I've had my 6112s at the 5th clip on for about 30000 miles. Ill get a measurement later today.

If I were you I'd expect very close to what Bilstein has on their site for the type of Tacoma you have and the clip position used. My AC on 5/4 clip postion was almost exactly what they speced within a 1/8" after the springs settled from some hard impacts.

Ok, so quick measurements in my non-level parking lot at work:
Driver side hub to fender - 21 7/8”
Passenger side hub to fender - 22 3/8”

Just to give to some #'s. I recently installed 6112s set on the 1st notch. This was while replacing old LCA, tie rods, and other hardware at a local shop.

I've driven the truck 200 miles now with daily speed bumps but still need to measure after some settling and retorquing everything.

I have a spacer installed for the taco lean.
    Truck Spring height:
    Before install (2020)
1/2 tank of gas from center hub to fender
    FL-19.75
    RL-21.5
    FR-20
    RR-21.5
    =1.5" rake

    4/23/2021-picked up truck from shop
-set on 1st notch with spacer for Taco lean-
-1/2 tank of gas from center hub to fender-
    FL- 21.5
    RL- 21.5
    FR- 21.5
    RR- 21.5
    Not fully settled yet

Installed the 6112's/5160's with heavy duty Dakars and SPC UCA's about a month ago on my 2nd gen DCLB. 6112's were set at notches 4/5, and I put a 1/4 space on the drivers side for Taco Lean. I also have firestone ride rite airbags (installed a year ago).

I did about 1/2 of the install myself: Front shocks and one rear leaf. I couldn't get the rear shocks off (the shop cut them in half) and one leaf spring had a bolt I could not for the life of me get off (the shop cut that off too). Once the shop got it they found some play in the ball joint of one of the UCA's so they also did both of the UCA's for me. My truck had 112k miles on it and lived in Canada before, and now Colorado, so rust wasn't great. Just a heads up for anyone looking to do this themselves!

Ride is considerably better than stock (especially on a TRD Sport). If you're debating between Medium or HD Dakars I would just go heavy. I carry at least 400-600lbs consistently in the winter because of my heavy drawers + topper, and around 800 - 1,000 in the summer (Phoenix slide in camper).

The ONLY issue I have found is when driving quickly (probably faster than you should) on windy roads (or a curvy freeway on ramp) VSC can kick in because it thinks the truck is slipping. Has anyone else had this issue from this lift? The shop said it's normal with lifting Taco's. I found forums stating I can either reset the VSC and hope it re-adjusts, or install a switch fully turning it on or off when I want (I don't want it disconnected completely).
