After putting it into the dropbox folder (correctly mapped of course), did you go through the import process in OBD Fusion? It's not intuitive :)

I can't find Transmission Actual Gear any longer, and it didn't read any value when I had it hooked up. I don't see Gear or Transmission anything when I search PIDs. What is the correct PID to get the gear my truck is currently in? Do I need to buy the extras pack specific to my vehicle?

How do you move a title left or right when merging displays? Mine only go up and down?

I can make it go right by adding spaces before the title, but is there a better way?

Good question. My testing shows what you found. But.... if you put a decimal in front of your leading letter in the title, you can then add a bunch of leading spaces. Then you can go back and edit out the decimal.

That will force the title to the right. It’s a bit of a kludge.

After playing with it a bit, outside of layering and fading a gauge outside of the wanted text, I can't think of another way to move the text. Someone has a better way, I'm all ears. Using two PIDS to move text to the left or right, seems wasteful.

This is not an SAE PID either. None exist with the word "shift" in it. Do I need to buy Toyota extras pack for $9.99 to get AT current Gear? That seems bonkers to me. Transmission Actual Gear Status is what I am using and it just reads 0 all the time.

is it normal for OBD Fusion to lag a lot or are my settings wrong. I am using the MX+ I was using Carista and that lagged like crazy so I thought it was that but then coughed up the 120 for the mx+ from obdfusion thinking it would fix it .... but it did not.

    any advice?

I just bought the 2020 Toyota Extras pack, it has Shift Sensor Status. Will try that out, thanks!

EDIT: Correct PID (from Toyota 2020 extras pack) is "Shift Status" FWIW. Pretty much exactly what @dunlap837 said

I just purchased OBD fusion app and Carista. How are you getting the gear gauge? I can’t find it anywhere on the app. I feel like an idiot because that’s pretty much the biggest reason I got this.

How much lag we talkin? I have Carista and have like a second delay. How much info are you trying to monitor? I have very few PIDs at the moment, like 10 or so.

Thank you but I can’t find it. I know you click on menu and then add display followed by what type of gauge you want then what color you want it when it comes to PID and I don’t know what to do from there because I can’t find it under PID. I bought the $9.99 Toyota expansion pack because others in this very thread said to get that. At this point in time I feel like an idiot.

Don't feel bad, it takes some usage to figure it out.

    Open app
    go to dashboard
    click add display
    select whatever
    click on toyota, lexus, scion
    tap transmission
scroll way down to "stautus of the shift stautus / 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, or 8th"
    click done

should be there. I may be an idiot too, so...good luck lol.

that’s where everything goes wrong. After your option of select whatever the next page I get is this picture below. I when I click on PID a massive list of options comes up. Transmission is not one of them nor shift status.
