TBF suspended players should get paid.

 

This is all true but that doesn't mean we can't just say that Parros sucks, which he does. He supposedly wasn't going to suspend Wilson on his last incident and then Bettman had to step in. So here we are and he gets off again for something that should be punished for.
As for the Rangers, supposedly they just fired their GM and President, so I have no idea what is going on over there.

 

Owner probably wanted blood and was told, "that doesn't happen anymore." jks

I mean hey, if they just jump Wilson every time he gets on the ice, they could effectively keep him out of the game since the NHL didn't do it lol

 

They don’t have enough players to do that or they probably would lol. He’s back on the ice and already took 3 hits in a minute play

 

From the NY Post: "Wilson jumped on the ice shortly thereafter, and a few seconds later, he fought Rangers defenseman Brendan Smith, who further was penalized for instigating. Wilson and Rooney later received matching 10-minute misconducts, and the Capitals said after the first period that Wilson would not return to the game due to an upper-body injury."
I guess this is what teams are going to have to do: go after Wilson constantly, every shift. I don't think that will work in a playoff game because instigator penalties would put the other team short handed often. But for tonight, it worked.

 

I don’t buy it that Wilson has an upper body injury, I saw nothing that would have caused that. Capitals want to win this game to move up in East division and fighting won’t help that. They also don’t want to lose their dirty enforcer in a fight or a suspension either, they want him for the playoffs.

 

I doubt the "injury" too. I think even the Capitals who like dirty play realize that tensions and tempers are high and the Rangers just may pull a "Wilson" on Wilson by knocking him out with a dirty hit. That could affect him for the playoffs. After all, the Rangers have nothing to lose by getting some guy suspended for a dirty hit. Hell, his teammates will probably make up his pay for the suspension and then some. I might even send a few bucks to a Go Fund Me Account.

I'm a Caps fan, I want to see them win. But, I really appreciate great play all around.

 

I liked the respect the Rangers showed to Oshie tonight after his dad died earlier this week. Respect for the player and respect for the game. Something Wilson knows nothing about

 

I think Wilson is a well rounded player. A lot of teams would love to have him as a player/leader. I think he has crossed the line a few times, but he is an effective asset.

 

Player yes. Leader no. The only difference between him and a Raffi Torres is that Parros has a hard on for him. In the next season or two Wilson will do something that gets him punted for a dozen games, or forever if someone else is the head of player safety.

 

I believe the “ass” part of asset, the man has a ton of penalty minutes and the only thing he leads in is suspensions and fines, Monday’s game should have been one more suspension. Here’s his rap sheet-
