Actually the third gen was designed at the Toyota Tech Center in Ann Arbor Michigan. An American team lead by an American Chief Engineer.

A lot of people seem to be sore about my joke. I was talking about how I personally find it ironic putting an American flag on a Japanese brand car because of the history between the two countries. Plain and simple.

Our Japanese trucks are more American than some, maybe most American trucks. I think it’s more about patriotism by the trucks owner anyway. At least that’s why I have flags on my truck.

Sadly the U.S. flag triggers some folks too. You know what I say to that. BYE!!!
