I retrieved mine this week. Self install once I prep the rails and finish the harness.

I am looking at purchasing either a Leer 100XR or Leer 100R for my DCLB. Seems like many are rocking the 100XR; anyone have the 100R? Also, how important are windoors, really? I get you can reach stuff in the bed but certainly not a big enough opening to pull out tackle boxes and the like. They are ~$225 apiece in my XR quote.

JWestie - I prefer the T-handle locks on the 100R. After having windoors, I don’t want a topper without them.

I have a Snug Top rather than a Leer, but I have windoors. I wouldn't want a shell without them. Combined with my platform, I can easily get to anything in the bed.

As for window height, different shells have different height windows. My high rise shell has taller windows than my cab-height had. Not much, but 2 inches or so - and it does make a difference. I can easily get tackle boxes, backpacks, kayak seats, etc through the window.

Yes, they are expensive. And have virtually no value if you sell your shell. However, to me, they are worth every penny.

Have you looked at them on a truck? Experiencing one on a truck would give you a true idea if you want them or not.

Adds versatility at the cost of 225 a piece. You’re already throwing down a lot of money on the shell, might as well make it worth it. You could also do one windoor one slider. Just think carefully about which side to choose

    That's a heck of a set-up you have.

Ask about the leer legacy. It's 300-500 cheaper than leer r just not advertised and the exact same just can't get power locks. Warranty is five years instead of "lifetime" whatever that means. I went with no windoors and I'm fine with it. The slider windows move halfway back and I don't really like the way leer vented windoors are set up and look
No frameless window with legacy either but I wanted the dual t handles instead of the one handle in the middle anyways

But you can reach into the tackle box to get something. It changes how you can load the bed for access. Not big enough for a 34qt cooler to come out but certainly small-medium tackle boxes.

Looks great! I can't tell from the picture, but do the two Prinsu racks line up in terms of height or is one higher than the other?
